CHENNAI– The makers of director Krish Jagarlamudi’s much-anticipated action thriller Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty and Vikram Prabhu, have released the film’s second single, “Dassora,” giving fans a vibrant glimpse into the movie’s world ahead of its September 5 worldwide release.
Anushka Shetty shared the track on social media with excitement, writing, “The SOUND of GHAATIS is out now… #Dassora out now! #GHAATI GRAND RELEASE WORLDWIDE ON 5th SEPTEMBER 2025. Thank you all for your love.”
Composed by Sagar Nagavelli, “Dassora” is described as more than just a song — it’s a mood-booster. The track blends the grit and spirit of the Ghaatis, hill transporters central to the film’s story, with high-energy beats and earthy cultural flavor. Lyricist E.S. Murthy’s words are brought to life by the dynamic voices of Geetha Madhuri, Saketh, and Sruthi Ranjani.
Visually, the song showcases Anushka Shetty, Vikram Prabhu, and fellow Ghaatis secretly transporting ganja while dodging police, offering a thrilling taste of the high-stakes drama that awaits in the film.
Ghaati’s trailer, released earlier, introduced audiences to the love story of Vikram Prabhu’s Desi Raju and Anushka’s character, set against the backdrop of the ghats where impoverished locals are exploited by smugglers. While Vikram Prabhu’s character works in a dispensary and Anushka begins as a bus conductor, the pair eventually take on a fight for justice.
The film, initially slated for a July 11 release, was postponed to September 5. Presented by UV Creations and produced by Rajeev Reddy and Sai Babu Jagarlamudi, Ghaati marks the second collaboration between Anushka and director Krish after their acclaimed hit Vedam. It is also Anushka’s fourth project with UV Creations.
Vikram Prabhu revealed in an interview that he lost eight kilos to prepare for his role. The film’s tagline, “Victim, Criminal, Legend,” hints at a narrative exploring survival, morality, and the blurred lines between good and evil.
With striking visuals by cinematographer Manojh Reddy Katasani, music by Nagavelli Vidya Sagar, art direction by National Award winner Thotta Tharani, and editing by Chanakya Reddy Toorupu and Venkat N. Swamy, Ghaati promises a gripping cinematic experience. Dialogue writer Sai Madhav Burra adds further punch to the film’s intense storytelling. (Source: IANS)
