MUMBAI– Music composer duo Sachin-Jigar opened up about their latest track Pardesiya from the upcoming film Param Sundari, describing it as an effort to craft something “timeless.”

In a joint statement, they said, “Pardesiya is that rare song where everything aligns — the emotion, the voice, the writing, and the moment. We wanted to create something that feels like it’s been living in people’s hearts for years, even though it’s brand new.”

The duo described having Sonu Nigam sing the song — released on his birthday — as “cosmic.” “He brings a kind of magic, an ache and depth that can’t be imitated. Krishnakali’s voice added a haunting, ethereal layer. We’re proud of the textures that emerged when all three voices came together,” they added.

Lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya also received praise from the composers: “He doesn’t just write words, he writes feelings. Romance is making a comeback in cinema, and Pardesiya is our way of saying — let’s slow dance with love again.”

Param Sundari, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Sidharth Malhotra, is set against the backdrop of Kerala’s backwaters and tells the cross-cultural love story between a North Indian man and a South Indian woman.

Reflecting on the song, Sidharth said, “Pardesiya isn’t just a song, it’s a feeling that lingers. Sachin–Jigar and Amitabh have created pure magic. Sonu sir’s voice brings timeless emotion, and lip-syncing to his vocals was truly special. Shooting with Janhvi was effortless — it’s one of my favorite love songs to film.”

The song was released on July 30, and the film’s motion poster was unveiled the following day. Originally scheduled for a July 25 release, Param Sundari will now hit theaters on August 29.
