BOSTON— Reshma Shetty, co-founder of Gingko Bioworks, has joined Pillar VC as new “Founding Pillars” and will serve as board member and adviser.
Pillar VC named four more “Founding Pillars.” They are: Gail Goodman, Pepperlane; Yvonne Hao, until most recently COO and CFO of PillPack; Jeremey Allaire, Circle Financial; and Rushika Fernandopulle of Iora Health.
Pillar VC is a Boston-based early stage venture capital firm.
Ms. Shetty is the co-founder of Gingko Bioworks, a biotech company that uses genetic engineering to produce bacteria with industrial applications. She was part of the founding team to spin Gingko Bioworks out of MIT.
Ginkgo Bioworks is an organism design company building organisms to spec for customers across markets including nutrition, health and consumer goods.
