MUMBAI– Rising Punjabi pop sensation and songwriter Burrah has announced the release of his debut EP, Letting Go, in collaboration with Warner Music India.

The three-track EP features “Kyun Raatan Nu,” “Je Tu Hundi Naal,” and “Khuli Hawa,” blending Punjabi folk melodies with contemporary genres such as R&B, trap, jazz, and neo-soul. Collaborators on the project include Zero Chill, Jizzy, GNDHI, and Yogic.

Sharing the inspiration behind Letting Go, Burrah said, “I felt lost, like I was living a life that wasn’t truly mine, just something expected of me. Letting Go is my journey back to myself. Each track represents a moment of release, heartbreak, reflection, and finally, freedom.”

“It’s about shedding the layers, embracing who I really am, and no longer pretending. This EP is more than music, it’s me stepping into my truth,” he added.

The track “Kyun Raatan Nu” combines traditional instrumentation with modern production, while “Je Tu Hundi Naal” is rooted in jazz fusion, highlighting Burrah’s genre-bending style.

Burrah initially rose to fame through his creative work with The Viral Fever (TVF), contributing to over 70 comedy sketches and hit web series like Flames and Engineering Girls. He made his musical breakthrough with the viral anthem “Dilli De Sardar Boys” and gained further recognition with “Main Sochi Jawan” on MTV Hustle 3.

In 2022, Burrah made history as the first Punjabi artist to perform at both Lollapalooza and Magnetic Fields festivals. He has since delivered breakout hits like “Kaloli” and “Bliss,” and is celebrated for cult favorites such as “Kinu Mai Sunaava.” However, his performance of “Udja” on Coke Studio Bharat in 2023 remains one of his most acclaimed works to date.
