Preview of India Day Celebrations This Sunday at Boston City Hall: Video Interview

BOSTON – As India Association of Greater Boston gets ready to host India Day celebration for the first time at the Boston City Hall Plaza this Sunday, IAGB President Aditi Taylor and Vice President Sanjay Gowda talks about the extended program, logistics and what to expect.

IAGB has moved traditional India Day celebrations this year from Hatch Shell to Boston’s City Hall Plaza.

In an exclusive video interview with INDIA New England News, Ms. Taylor and Mr. Gowda discuss various programs, vendors, logistics and other events that will held throughout the day starting at about 11:00 AM through 7:00 pm on Sunday, Aug. 19, 2018.

The program includes traditional cultural programs, songs, dances and field games such as lemon-spoon and three-legged races. The event is free for all attendees.

Ms. Taylor and Mr. Gowda said that sprawling venue at City Hall Plaza offers an open area that enables a variety of activities and attractions, including easy access to public transportation and multiple parking options.
