National Alliance of Indian Organizations Launches with Over 100 Groups and 300 Leaders to Strengthen Indian-American Voice Across U.S.

NEW YORK — More than 100 Indian American organizations and 300 community leaders have come together to launch the National Alliance of Indian Organizations, a new nationwide platform aimed at unifying Indian-American groups across the United States.

Announced at an event in New York on March 16, the initiative brings together over 80 prominent leaders—including physicians, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and professionals—under the banner of “One Voice. One Platform. One American Indian Community.”

The launch was attended by several public officials, including Bruce Blakeman and Tom Suozzi, along with representatives from community and student organizations.

Organizers describe NAIO as one of the most ambitious efforts to date to unify the diverse and rapidly growing Indian-American diaspora, which has historically operated through thousands of independent organizations.

By creating a centralized national platform, NAIO aims to enhance collaboration, strengthen representation, and amplify the collective impact of Indian-Americans across sectors including business, culture, healthcare, and civic engagement.

During the launch, leaders representing participating organizations formally committed to the alliance, signaling strong momentum behind the initiative.

NAIO’s mission focuses on building a coordinated national presence through initiatives such as:

Strengthening representation of Indian-Americans at the national level

Promoting business and professional collaboration

Supporting youth leadership and mentorship programs

Encouraging cultural preservation and exchange

Advocating on key issues impacting the community

Strengthening U.S.-India relations

The organization also announced the formation of a Women’s Council, comprising 25 leaders, highlighting a commitment to inclusive leadership and women’s empowerment.

Founding Leadership

The launch was spearheaded by a host committee of national leaders, including Naveen Shah, Chintu Patel, Harry Bolla, Dr. Raj Bhayani, and Madhu Pareek.

A large group of founding trustees—drawn from healthcare, business, and philanthropy—will help guide the organization’s long-term strategy and governance.

NAIO plans to operate through a structured national framework, including a Board of Directors, National Executive Council, advisory groups, and regional ambassadors across the country.

The alliance has already outlined a slate of upcoming initiatives, including a National Independence Day Celebration on August 15 and a National Convention scheduled for July 4, 2027.

Organizers say the goal is to move beyond fragmented efforts and build a unified voice capable of shaping national dialogue and policy while fostering stronger community ties.

As the Indian-American population continues to grow in influence, NAIO positions itself as a central platform to connect leaders, organizations, and future generations, aiming to create lasting impact both within the United States and in strengthening ties with India.
