Mumbai Police File FIR Against Celina Jaitly’s Husband Peter Haag

MUMBAI, India — Mumbai Police have registered an FIR against actress Celina Jaitly’s husband, Peter Haag, after she accused him of domestic violence.
Haag, an Austrian national, is facing criminal proceedings under several provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. Police officials said the FIR was registered under sections dealing with cruelty, causing harm, intimidation and harassment.
The case is also connected to ongoing proceedings under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005.
Police have also issued a Look Out Circular against Haag. Such notices are typically used when authorities believe an accused person may avoid questioning or leave the country during an investigation. Sources said the circular was issued because of alleged non-cooperation in the probe.
The development comes days after Jaitly shared an emotional video of herself visiting her son’s grave amid her legal battle. She said she had not been allowed to meet her children except for Shamsher, who died earlier.
Neither Haag nor his legal representatives have issued a public statement on the allegations. Mumbai Police are continuing to record statements and collect material related to the complaint.
Jaitly married Haag, an Austrian entrepreneur and hotelier, in 2010. The couple had twin boys in 2012. She gave birth to a second set of twins in 2017, but one child died of a heart condition.
In November 2025, Jaitly filed a case against Haag under the Domestic Violence Act, alleging that she had been subjected to continuous domestic violence. (Source: IANS)
