BOSTON– Melvyn Menezes, associate professor of marketing at Boston University and former president of the Boston chapter of the Indian American Forum of Political Education (IAFPE), passed away on Sunday while on vacation in India.
He apparently died in his sleep. The story will be updated once more information is available.
In addition to being an associate professor at Boston University, Mr. Menezes was also a management educator, and consultant and a community activist.
His primary areas of expertise were marketing strategy, customer and market focus, identification of growth opportunities, strategy, distribution channels, and customer service.
He received his PhD from University of California, Los Angeles; MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta; and BTech from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India.
