MUMBAI– Filmmaker Mansi Bagla, the writer and producer of the upcoming romantic drama Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, believes that songs often express deeper emotions than spoken dialogue. The film, starring Vikrant Massey and Shanaya Kapoor, is set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025.

With an emotionally rich soundtrack, the film features the title track Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, as well as Nazara and the recently released Alvida. Each song is crafted to resonate with the emotional journey of the film’s characters.

“Music is the core element in Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan,” said Bagla.
“All the songs released so far reflect the intensity of love, longing, heartache, and the emotional rollercoaster that the characters go through. I’m a firm believer that the songs speak more than the dialogues, as I have a good ear for music. It took me a year to create the music with a lot of patience.”

She emphasized the importance of music as a foundational element of the film, rather than an afterthought.

“Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is a love story that feels like a hug, so it was important to get the music right. For me, music was never secondary—it’s the emotional anchor of the film,” she added.
“After carefully placing each song where it belongs, I hope to draw viewers deeper into the characters’ emotional arcs. I personally love music in my life and often express myself through it.”

Presented by Zee Studios and Mini Films, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan is directed by Santosh Singh and written and created by Mansi Bagla. The film is produced by Mansi Bagla, Varun Bagla, and Open Window Films, with music composed by Vishal Mishra. (Source: IANS)
