Jasmine Sandlas Reflects on Rise From Small Club Gigs to Stadium Performances

MUMBAI — Singer Jasmine Sandlas has reflected on her journey from performing in front of a small audience in Delhi in 2012 to headlining arenas and stadiums, saying her success has only amplified who she has always been.

Sharing a throwback photo from her early career on social media, Sandlas recalled performing at a club with just 15 people in attendance, noting that her passion for music has remained unchanged.

“This photo is from year 2012, I was performing at a small club in Delhi. There were 15 people in the audience. I performed ‘then’ like I perform ‘now’ at arenas and stadiums. Fame and power doesn’t change anyone. It magnifies who you already were,” she wrote.

She added that fans have recently been sharing old photos and videos, bringing back memories of her early, less glamorous days.

“My fans are sending me photos and videos from my past and it’s giving me so much life. Thank for witnessing my journey when it wasn’t so glamorous.”

Calling her journey “beautiful,” Sandlas said she fully committed herself to her ambitions, shaping the life she leads today.

“Thank you for reminding me how beautiful it’s all been so far. I burned in my desires and now I shine like a star.”

Reflecting on her transformation, she said letting go of her past was essential to moving forward.

“I sacrificed my old life for my new life. This is it.”

Sandlas is currently enjoying success with her recent work in “Dhurandhar,” the first part of a film series released in 2025 that centers on a covert counter-terrorism operation involving an undercover Indian intelligence agent infiltrating criminal networks in Karachi.

The sequel, “Dhurandhar: The Revenge,” continues the storyline, following the agent’s efforts to dismantle terror networks while confronting broader geopolitical threats. (Source: IANS)
