Memphis, Tennessee, will host the Global Integrative Medicine Congress (GIMC) from May 8–10, 2026. The event, organized by the American Academy for Yoga in Medicine (AAYM), will focus on yoga, Ayurveda, and integrative therapies for chronic diseases and public health. It will bring together scientists, clinicians, researchers, wellness practitioners, and members of the public for three days of evidence-based programming.

The congress comes at a time of increasing concern about chronic disease, stress-related conditions, and lifestyle-driven health issues. Organizers say the event aims to connect medical research, mind–body science, lifestyle interventions, and clinical practice in a way that is accessible to both professionals and the public.

The programme will include panel discussions and expert presentations on mental health, cardiovascular health, women’s health, pain management, neurophysiology, and digital health technologies. Sessions will address how lifestyle-based and holistic approaches can work alongside conventional medicine to support better health outcomes.

On May 8, the congress will host six full-day masterclasses led by international experts. Topics will include detoxification physiology, mindfulness and meditation science, autonomic neuroscience, heart rate variability analysis, research methods, scientific writing, regulatory issues, and clinical safety. These sessions are intended to provide practical skills for use in clinical practice and personal health management.

A Health Exhibition Pavilion will feature wellness products, nutrition tools, research equipment, and demonstrations of breathwork, meditation, and movement therapies. The exhibition is designed for both professionals and general attendees.

The event will also feature poster and abstract presentations covering integrative medicine, lifestyle science, neurophysiology, rehabilitation, and public health. Several new books by medical and scientific authors will be introduced during the congress.

Organizers say the event will be open and relevant to the general public, with sessions on stress management, sleep, nutrition, emotional health, and preventive care.
