WALTHAM, MA—INE MultiMedia, Inc., a non-profit company devoted to education, empowerment, enrichment and entertainment, announced that it has received a $30,000 grant from Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation, which supports Harvard Pilgrim’s mission to improve the quality and value of health care for the people and communities it serves.
“It is such an honor for INE MultiMedia to receive this grant from Harvard Pilgrim,” said Dr. Manju Sheth, MD, president of INE MultiMedia. “The mission of our non-profit company rests on four pillars: education, enrichment, empowerment and entertainment, and this grant will enable us to fulfill our mission by producing quality programs and events which will help our community at large. I want to thank Harvard Pilgrim from the bottom of my heart for their faith in us.”
In addition to the grant, Harvard Pilgrim will provide other support to INE MultiMedia, added Dr. Sheth.

Created in 1980, the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Foundation supports Harvard Pilgrim’s mission to improve the quality and value of health care for the people and communities it we serves by providing the tools, training and leadership to build healthy communities throughout Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Since its inception, the Foundation has distributed more than $1330 million in funds. In 20143, the Foundation awarded nearly more than $$2.98 million in grants to nearly 650710 nonprofit organizations within the four states.
Harvard Pilgrim is a not-for-profit health plan that provides a variety of insurance plan options and self-funding arrangements to more than one million members in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts and New Hampshire.
Upendra Mishra, vice president of INE MultiMedia, said Harvard Pilgrim Health Care has been a big supporter and a champion of diversity and inclusion policy, and has supported a number of South Asian causes in the area.
“Under its Eastern Harmony banner, Harvard Pilgrim combines the traditions of western medicine with those of China and India,” said Mr. Mishra. “We are looking forward to working with Harvard Pilgrim Health Ccare Foundation and collaboratinge with them on a number of causes.”
Mr. Mishra said that INE MultiMedia this year held its flagship community event Mega Health, Wellness and Fitness Expo, which was for the community and featured more than over 50 health care providers and was attended by about 2,500 people.
INE MultiMedia is focused on South Asian community in the United States as well as in the South Asian sub-continent, was founded by community leader Dr. Sheth and Mr. Mishra, publisher of INDIA New England News and IndUS Business Journal. In addition to working with non-profit organizations, INE MultiMedia will promotes art, culture, education and empowerment through interviews, workshops, seminars and multimedia presentations and documentaries.
