Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Director Robert Hubner of the Woodbridge Police Department in New Jersey said that a couple from Indiana have been charged with plotting the murder of a North Brunswick woman.
Narsan Lingala, 54, formerly of Woodbridge, and Sandya Reddy, 51, both of Noblesville, Indiana, were arrested and charged with one count of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree and one count of attempted murder in the first degree,
Lingala and Reddy were arrested after a three-month investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, the FBI and the Woodbridge Police Department.
During the investigation it was determined that Lingala and his girlfriend Reddy were plotting the murder of Lingala’s ex-wife. Today on August 18, 2018 at approximately 4:30 pm in the town of Woodbridge the couple met with an undercover officer who was being hired to murder the ex-wife.
The investigation is active and continuing. Anyone with information is asked to call Detective Michael Barbato of the Woodbridge Police Department at (732) 635-7700, or Detective Lucas Kitto of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 745-3976.
As is the case with all criminal defendants, the charges against Lingala and Reddy are merely accusations and they are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
