WESTON, MA–American Idol hopeful Sonika Vaid, 20, a Massachusetts native and resident of Weston and Martha’s Vineyard, moved on to the next round of American Idol competition.
Once again Vaid wowed the judges Thursday night and made to a cut of 24 from a cut of 51. Vaid has been declared an early favorite to win Idol, which is in its final season.
Vaid came to lime light in early January this year when media went crazy about her performance in the contest.
The 20-year-old Vaid is an Indian-American whose parents came to this country as kids.
