WALTHAM, MA–Indian Medical Association of New England, known as IMANE, has appointed Dr. Rajendra Trivedi, MD, a trustee and the treasurer of its board of trustees.
“I have been appointed to both (positions),” Dr. Trivedi told INDIA New England News. “I accepted this position so that we can do more and better things for IMANE and our community.”
Tejaswini Shah, MD, chair of IMANE’s board of trustees, confirmed the appointment of Dr. Trivedi as a trustee of the board.
“Dr. Trivedi is replacing Dr. Salil Midha as the trustee,” said Dr. Shah, adding that Dr. Midha resigned after serving for two years. His term was for four years.
Dr. Trivedia graduated in 1968 from B. J. Medical College in Amadavad, India, and received post graduate training in Neurological Surgery from Charles University in Czechoslovakia. He completed training at the Cambridge Hospital and Harvard University in Psychiatry.
“Unfortunately Dr. Midha had to leave for family medical reasons and Dr. Trivedi was appointed as the interim trustee for 2016. I wish him all the best for this year,” said IMANE President Dr. Sapna Aggarwal.
