NASHUA, NH–India Association of New Hampshire hosted IANH Vasant Festival 2017 on Sunday, May 21st, to celebrate the spirit of spring season. It was a success with over 300 participants performing in the competitive and non-competitive segments across the multiple age groups and was attended by over a thousand community members to celebrate the spirit of spring, IANH said in a statement.
Over a dozen vendors and information booths made their way to showcase their products. As always, it was hosted at Nashua High School North and filled with enthusiasts and parents of outstanding artists. All the participants amazed the audience by putting their heart and soul in their performances along with showcasing their creative props and costumes. The dance competition was judged by – Swati Subramanian, Sheetal Kelkar, Alka Arora and Shikha Bajpai for judging dance competitions as well as Sunanda Sahay and Gopika Narula for judged Art contest. The audience also got to witness the dances of all genre from classical to folk and hiphop. Additionally, there were some beautiful music performances by the kids of all ages as well as adults who sung in the multiple languages. The participants and audience came from far off to participate in this spectacular show and the cultural extravaganza!
In addition to the NSF Educational Bees Award and Youth service Awards, the charity check disbursement for Sowdews was done by the IANH youth group. The delicious food by Unnati Cafe and Udipi Restaurant was a great attraction as well. The Outstanding decorations and backdrops done by Ambika Mangtani and Kruti shah of Gatinm Creators added colors and glitter to the entire stage. The IANH Vasant festival was generously supported by Nashua based Grand sponsor Global Adult Daycare Health Centre and Gold sponsor Harvard Pilgrim Healthcare. Overall the IANH Vasant Festival turned out as a true celebration of the Spring season that rejuvenated the spirits of the whole local community!
Beside the cultural activities IANH extensively contributes to serve the local community by serving the local soup kitchens and children home as well as continuously organising the fundraisers for many other local charities.
IANH organises the Annual cultural contests every year around this time of the year. The current IANH Team put in the months of prep work in order to organise this mega event which was a grand success! The current IANH officials are Mr. Balaji Radakrishnan-President, Mr. Manoj Chourasia-Vice President, Dr. Tej Dhakar-Secretary ,Mr. Prithvi Kumar-Treasurer. The current Committee Chairs are – Ms. Jyoti Sharma Cultural, Mr. Prasad Dabbi Education, Ms. Vandana Dhakar Membership , Mr. Nagendra Bhanu Public Relations , Ms. Barinder Ahluwalia Public Service, Ms. Barinder Ahluwalia Youth Affairs.
