BURLINGTON, MA—India Associations of Greater Boston, a non-profit community organization that has never seen such a hotly contested election for the posts of president and vice president in its 55-year history, has set the agenda for its annual general body meeting that will also elect new officers and a new executive committee for a two-year-term.
IAGB posted the following agenda on its website regarding the general body meeting, which will start at 1:00 pm on Sunday, Oct. 8, at the Academy of Creative Arts in Burlington, MA.

“The current EC (executive committee) has done a marvelous job of expanding IAGB mission and its charter,” IAGB President Jaya Voruganti told INDIA New England News in a statement. “It was a hard road to get things done but an easy climb to deliver the goods. We could not have done this work without the help of all our past presidents, members, well-wishers, volunteers, supporters and media partners. Thank you all.”
She said beauty of IAGB survival lies in its democratic roots which always win.
“I am sure you all will make conscious efforts in electing future IAGB leaders since they are the ones who will take IAGB to new heights. It is IAGB’s win regardless of which candidate wins,” Voruganti said. “I, soon to become IAGB Past president, wish good luck to all candidates and the new EC. You have our support and remember that we are only an e-mail or phone call away if you need us .”
