BOSTON – India Association of Greater Boston (IAGB) inviting nominations for youth excellence award, entries for talent show and exhibitors at its annual India Day Festival on Aug. 19, 2018 at Boston’s City Hall Plaza.

Several cities including New York and Chicago have maintained the tradition of celebrating India Day festivals and IAGB is doing its bit to keep the torch alive in the Greater Boston area.

“All celebrations of India pride are exciting events for us. But what makes this more special is the opportunity to showcase the strength of the growing Indian-American diaspora in our adopted land,” said IAGB President Aditi Taylor. “So, I strongly urge my fellow community members to join the celebration and show their solidarity to the community.”

She said what’s even more exciting about the celebration this year is the sprawling open venue with easy access to transportation and local Boston attractions.

“Moreover, in addition to the traditional cultural performances, there will be a ‘talent show’ section to showcase varied talents (e.g., art, magic, theater, etc.). There are still open spots for the talent show and entry submission will close on July 15, 2018. There will also be a series of field games which include fun games like lemonspoon race, three-legged race to more innovative games for all ages to participate in,” said Ms. Taylor. “Entries for field games will be taken on the spot. Surrounding the activity will be the vibrant exhibition booths from various corners of our community. Contact us soon to reserve your spot.”

Early bird pricing is extended to July 7, 2018.
