Haryanvi Duo Banjaare Expand Reach With ‘Bairan’ and ‘Barsaat’

Mumbai — Haryanvi brother duo Banjaare are expanding their audience beyond regional music with the success of their songs “Bairan” and “Barsaat.”
Their latest release, “Barsaat,” has gained traction across major music platforms, including Spotify, YouTube, Billboard, Apple Music and Shazam.
The song has recorded more than 40 million streams across audio platforms and 35 million views on YouTube, making it one of the most successful regional-language releases of 2026.
“Barsaat” has also been used in the Indian promotional campaign for Sony Pictures Entertainment India’s “Spider-Man: Brand New Day.”
Banjaare said the success of “Bairan” initially gave them confidence that their music could reach audiences beyond Haryana, while “Barsaat” has taken that momentum further.
“This moment feels surreal. ‘Bairan’ gave us the confidence that our sound could connect with audiences far beyond Haryana, but seeing ‘Barsaat’ reach No. 1 on Spotify India and featuring in global charts has taken that belief to another level,” the duo said.
They thanked listeners for supporting their music and credited Sony Music India with helping bring their sound to wider audiences in India and overseas.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported us and made these songs their own. Sony Music India has been an important part of this journey, believing in our music and helping us take our sound to audiences across India and beyond,” they said.
The duo also called the song’s association with the Spider-Man promotional campaign an unexpected milestone.
“Being associated with the Spider-Man: Brand New Day campaign is another milestone we could never have imagined,” they said. “For us, this is not just about two successful songs, but a proud moment for us that the sound of Haryana is breaking regional boundaries and resonating with audiences on the global stage.” (Source: IANS)
