CAMBRIDGE, MA—TiE-Boston, which is celebrating 20 years of fostering entrepreneurship this year, will host a “Fireside Chat” between Harvard Business School Dean Nitin Nohria and philanthropist and serial entrepreneur Venkat Srinivasan, who will receive the organization’s highest honor, Lifetime Achievement Award, during its annual gala on Dec. 13 at Hilton Hotel in Woburn, MA.
TiE-Boston’s Lifetime Achievement Award is honoring Srinivasan for having distinguished himself as one of Boston’s entrepreneurial leaders. Srinivasan is a serial entrepreneur, who has founded several companies, including Rage Frameworks, e-Credit, EnglishHelper and Corporate Fundamentals Inc. In addition, he serves as Vice Chair of the American India Foundation (AIF).
Nohria became the 10th dean of Harvard Business School in 2010. He previously served as co-chair of the Leadership Initiative, Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Development, and Head of the Organizational Behavior unit. He is co-author or co-editor of 16 books. The most recent, Handbook of Leadership Theory and Practice, is a compendium dedicated to advancing research on leadership based on a colloquium he organized during HBS’s centennial celebrations.
In addition honoring Srinivasan with Lifetime Achievement Award, TiE-Boston will also give several other awards such as Rising Entrepreneur of the Year, Charter Member of the Year, Health Innovator of the Year; Entrepreneurship Achievement Awards, and Volunteer of the Year Award.
The gala will start with a cocktail and networking reception at 5:30 pm on Dec. 13. The dress code for this occasion is black tie optional and formal wear.
