MUMBAI– Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh brought a wave of nostalgia to the set of Border 2, grooving to one of Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic tracks during a lighthearted moment between shoots.
In a video shared on Instagram Stories—originally posted by his team—Diljit is seen vibing to “Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam” from SRK’s 1998 film Duplicate. With his trademark charisma, Diljit dances out of a hotel room, strikes playful poses, and hops into a car, channeling pure retro Bollywood energy.
Currently filming Border 2, Diljit has been keeping fans updated with behind-the-scenes glimpses from the war drama. Just a day earlier, he shared another on-set video featuring co-stars Varun Dhawan, Ahaan Shetty, and director Anurag Singh. In the clip, the team is seen laughing and goofing around as unexpected rain halted the shoot.
“Just Another Day Brother,” Diljit captioned the post.
The clip begins with him mid-scene before heavy rain interrupts production. Taking it in stride, Diljit quips, “Tension mat lo, hum maze karenge” (Don’t worry, we’ll have fun), capturing the relaxed and cheerful atmosphere on set.
He then jokes, “Ye Border ke director sahab shooting chhod ke hamare pass hi ake baith gaye hain. Kende pehle aap hi hi hi hi kar lo, bad main hum shooting kar lenge.” (The director has left the shoot and is sitting with us. He says, “First you finish your chit-chat, then we’ll shoot.”)
The video also shows a candid exchange between Diljit and actress Mona Singh, highlighting the camaraderie among cast members.
Meanwhile, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has temporarily lifted its non-cooperation directive against Diljit Dosanjh, allowing him to work exclusively on Border 2. FWICE President B.N. Tiwari explained that T-Series submitted a formal request, noting that a significant portion of the film’s war sequences had already been shot and recasting would disrupt continuity and on-screen chemistry.
The ban was originally imposed after Diljit collaborated with Pakistani actress Hania Aamir in Sardaar Ji 3, sparking backlash from the union. (Source: IANS)
