MUMBAI– It’s been six years since the high-energy track Psycho Saiyaan from the action thriller Saaho took over the charts, and singer Dhvani Bhanushali is celebrating the milestone with heartfelt gratitude and nostalgia.
Taking to Instagram, Dhvani shared a video of herself dancing to the hit song and reflected on how the experience marked a turning point in her musical journey.
“Six years of Psycho Saiyaan today… and I still remember exactly where I was when it all began,” she wrote. “I had just released Vaaste and was in Goa with my friends when I got the call: ‘We’re doing Psycho Saiyaan in three more languages, and you’ll be singing all of them.’”
The announcement brought both excitement and nervous energy. “I was excited… and honestly, a little nervous. But the team believed in me,” she recalled. “I learned how to pronounce every syllable with care—Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam. And somewhere in the middle of it all, I got to collaborate with the incredible @anirudhofficial!”
The multilingual versions of the track pushed Dhvani to expand her vocal versatility, and the experience left a lasting impact.
She also reminisced about meeting lead actors Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor during the shoot. “So many people came up to me saying my voice felt like it was meant for her [Shraddha]. That meant more than I can explain,” she shared. “This song was one of the first big leaps in my journey. It pushed me, shaped me, and brought me closer to all of you.”
The singer expressed deep appreciation to her fans for embracing the track, which she recorded alongside Sachet Tandon.
“Even now, when I hear you singing it at shows or see your videos online… it reminds me just how powerful music can be,” Dhvani wrote. “Thank you for still dancing to it, still loving it, and for letting Psycho Saiyaan be a part of your lives.”
Directed by Sujeeth, Saaho starred Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor, Chunky Pandey, Jackie Shroff, Arun Vijay, and Neil Nitin Mukesh. The film follows two undercover agents on the hunt for a criminal mastermind behind a massive ₹2,000 crore heist—only to uncover a much deeper conspiracy tied to a business tycoon’s death and an emerging gang war in a sprawling metropolis.
