HubSpot, Inc., which Mr. Shah co-founded in 2006 and serves as its CTO, this month was ranked #1 on the list of Comparably’s Happiest Employees, meaning HubSpot’s employees are among the happiest workers in the country.
HubSpot received the highest rating by employees who provided anonymous feedback about their happiness at work to Comparably.com.
Mr. Shah will be honored with Entrepreneur of the Year Award at New England Choice Award 2018 on Oct. 26, 2018, at Westin Hotel in Waltham, MA. The awards gala will be attended by about 400 community leaders, businessmen, professionals, academics and philanthropists. Who is Mr. Shah?
“Deep down inside, I’m a technology guy (more specifically, a software development guy),” he writes about himself on his blog OnStartups.com. “I’ve built and shipped about ten commercial software products across my various startups. I still write code as it keeps me in touch with reality and makes me a better entrepreneur. Plus, I enjoy it.”
Prior to founding HubSpot in 2006, Mr. Shah was founder and CEO of Pyramid Digital Solutions, which was acquired by SunGard Data Systems in 2005.
In addition to co-authoring “Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media and Blogs”, Mr. Shah founded and writes for OnStartups.com — a top-ranking startup blog and community with more than 700,000 members.
In 2013, he published HubSpot’s Culture Code, which has garnered nearly four million views on SlideShare. Named an Inc. Founders 40 in 2016, he is an active member of the Boston-area entrepreneurial community, an angel investor in over 60 startups, and a frequent speaker on startups, inbound marketing, and company culture. Mr. Shah holds a BS in Computer Science from UAB and an MS in the Management of Technology from MIT.
