Deep Money Brings Punjabi Energy and Modern Beats Together in New Song ‘Billo’
MUMBAI — Punjabi singer and songwriter Deep Money has released his latest party track, “Billo,” combining traditional Punjabi musical influences with contemporary sounds in a song celebrating confidence, energy and enjoyment.
Best known for his hit song “Dope Shope,” Deep Money said his new release is designed to get listeners dancing while maintaining the distinctive character of Punjabi music.
“For me, Billo is all about attitude, confidence, and celebrating life. I wanted to create something that instantly lifts your mood, a song that makes you want to turn up the volume, smile, and dance,” the singer said.
He explained that the track reflects his continued interest in creating music that connects with audiences across different generations.
“I’ve always loved creating music that people can connect with, and Billo brings together that unmistakable Punjabi energy with a fresh, contemporary sound. Sabby Airy has brought incredible energy to the music, and Akshay has captured the entire vibe beautifully on screen. I’m really excited for everyone to experience it,” he added.
Deep Money, who wrote, composed and performed the song, revealed that the creative process began with its central hook.
“The first thing that came to me when I started composing ‘Billo’ was its hook line — something around ‘Billo’, with a Punjabi touch. That hook line came to me first, and I’ve had many super-duper hit songs over the years,” he said.
The singer also credited his production team for helping bring the track to life, highlighting the contributions of those involved in both the music and accompanying video.
“I have a great team that supports me immensely. Everyone who works with me in the studio does their job exceptionally well,” he said.
Deep Money praised director Akshay Agarwal for his work on the music video and acknowledged the contributions of the performers and production crew.
“I’m especially thankful to my team and to Surya, who did a fantastic job with the video. A big shout-out to Akshay Agarwal, who directed the video brilliantly, and to our featured artist, Aprila, who set the dance floor on fire with her moves,” he added.
The music video, directed by Agarwal, features Aparna Reddy and complements the song’s upbeat, dance-oriented style.
Deep Money has established himself in Punjabi pop music through a series of releases, including “Dope Shope,” “Bottle,” “Heeriye,” “Zeher,” “Come to Me,” “Milan,” “Disco Wich Gidda” and “Jhanjhar.”
