BOSTON— About 1,100 Bostonians basked in happiness as spiritual guru and the ‘Art of Living’ founder Sri Sri Ravi Shankar led a two-day meditation camp in Boston last weekend. He was on his second leg of an eight-city Get Happy tour in the United States. Before coming to Boston, he visited Washington, DC, and was now on his way to Columbus, OH .
Other cities in his tour include Minnesota, MN; San Francisco Bay Area, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; and Los Angeles, CA.
“The Boston event was amazing,” said Dhanashree Ramachandran, Director of Community Advancement at Art of Living Boston. “We are making a new wave of hope, happiness and joy.”
Ramachandran said 1,103 people attended the two-day meditation camp, which was held at Track and Tennis Center of Boston University in Boston on June 25-26. More than 50 percent of participants were first-time meditators. It was the largest meditation camp in the Northeast.
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s had started the Art of Living organization with the vision of One World Family 35 years ago. Since then, millions of people from more than 150 countries have been touched and benefited by his vision and teachings.
Sri Ravi Shankar is on his Happiness Tour 2016 in eight US cities, including Boston.
