Suniel Shetty’s defence against the scorching sun: ‘food, water, denim’
Mumbai– Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty, who will soon be seen in the upcoming film ‘Welcome To The Jungle’, is making the mercury soar amid the scorching heat.
On Tuesday, the actor took to his Instagram and shared an array of pictures.
The first picture is a close-up of him against the backdrop of a baby light in the depth. The second shows him leaning against a column as he looks into the camera.
He wrote in the caption, “Food, water, denim…essentials of life”.
The actor sports a casual look in the pictures as he sports a denim shirt paired with jeans. He rounded up his look with a checkered blazer. The actor kept his hair long in the front with faded sides.
On the work front, the actor can be seen as a judge along with Madhuri Dixit in the dance reality show ‘Dance Deewane 4’.
Parineeti’s shoutout to her glam team for giving shape to her Amarjot look in ‘Chamkila’
Mumbai– Parineeti Chopra, who essays the role of Amarjot Kaur in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’ on Tuesday shared some behind-the-scenes (BTS) glimpses of her various looks from the shoot of the biopic, giving a shout-out to her glam team.
Directed by Imtiaz Ali, the film stars Diljit Dosanjh in the titular role. It charts the untold true story of Punjab’s original rockstar of the masses, the highest record-selling artist of his time, Amar Singh Chamkila, often referred to as the ‘Elvis Presley of Punjab’.
Parineeti plays the role of Amar Singh Chamkila’s wife.
Taking to social media, the actress, who was last seen in ‘Mission Raniganj’, shared a series of pictures from the shoot of the movie. One picture shows Parineeti in a red bridal outfit, and another snap features her in a blue suit with a prosthetic baby bump.
There are some photos of Parineeti visiting a gurdwara. A picture shows Parineeti with blood stains on her face.
The post is captioned as: “Shoutout to my glam team, for making me #Chamkila (shine) as Amarjot, for all the fun-filled days at Gurudwara, and for capturing Amarjot throughout the film in these stills.”
Shot in real locations, the film promises to transport the audience to the vibrant and rhythmic world of Punjab’s folk music, right to the rustic Akhadaas (live music performances in villages) where Chamkila’s voice would once roar.

Shilpa celebrates Ashtami, Kanya Pujan ‘with our own Devi Samisha’
Mumbai– Actress Shilpa Shetty, on Tuesday, shared a sneak peek into the Kanya Pujan at her residence, on the occasion of Ashtami, giving an adorable glimpse of her daughter Samisha.
Shilpa took to her official Instagram handle, where she enjoys 32.4 million followers, and dropped a reel, wherein we can see her washing the little feet of Samisha, and kissing her.
The actress is seen doing aarti of her baby girl. Samisha looked cute in a pink lehenga choli and is seen sitting on a couch along with her pet dog.
Shilpa is wearing a magenta pink coloured ethnic suit.

Shilpa is married to businessman Raj Kundra. The couple also have a son named Viaan.
On the work front, Shilpa was featured as Tara in the action thriller series ‘Indian Police Force’, created and directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash. The series stars Sidharth Malhotra, and Vivek Oberoi.
She next has ‘KD’ in the pipeline.
Richa Chadha drew inspiration from Meena Kumari’s ‘Pakeezah’ for her role in ‘Heeramandi’
Mumbai– Bollywood actress Richa Chadha, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming streaming series ‘Heeramandi – The Diamond Bazaar’, has revealed that she referred to the iconic performance of legendary actress Meena Kumari to craft her character in the series.
In the series, Richa essays the role of Lajjo, a courtesan with a captivating persona. She shared that she found inspiration in Meena Kumari’s portrayal of Shahibjaan in the timeless classic ‘Pakeezah’. She studied Meena Kumari’s character, drawing parallels between Sahibjaan and Lajjo.
Talking about her preparations for the character, Richa said: “Carefully observing, learning from and taking lessons from Meena Kumari ji’s character in ‘Pakeezah’ was a truly enriching and deeply transforming experience for me ahead of shooting for ‘Heeramandi’. In ‘Paakezah’, Meena Kumari’s character has a certain tragic depth and complexity that resonated with Lajjo, the character that I play in the show. I worked on the voice and diction, while studying Meena Jis work, to the point of imitation sometimes.”
“I felt like I was walking in the footsteps of a cinematic legend, and it was an honor to pay tribute to Meena Kumari ji through my portrayal of Lajjo,” she added.
‘Heeramandi – The Diamond Bazaar’ marks the webseries debut of auteur Sanjay Leela Bhansali, and delves into the world of courtesans.
The series will Drop on Netflix on May 1.
Aamir Khan lodges FIR against Congress for alleged deep fake video used in poll ad
Mumbai– Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, who was last seen in ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, is taking action against a fake advertisement by a political party.
The actor has filed an FIR with Mumbai Police against a fake Congress advertisement. The said advertisement has a deep fake video of the Bollywood superstar created by artificial intelligence, and it targets the ruling BJP over their promise of Rs 15 lakh in the account of every citizen.
It is an alleged AI-generated deep fake video that uses a clip from an episode of the Aamir Khan-hosted TV show ‘Satyamev Jayate’, which was telecast 10 years ago.
The official spokesperson of Aamir Khan has issued a statement saying that the actor has initiated legal action and has reported the matter to the authorities.
The spokesperson said: “We want to clarify that Mr Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party throughout his 35-year career. He has dedicated his efforts to raising public awareness through Election Commission public awareness campaigns for many past elections. We are alarmed by the recent viral video alleging that Aamir Khan is promoting a particular political party.”
The spokesperson further mentioned: “He would like to clarify that this is a fake video and totally untrue. He has reported the matter to various authorities related to this issue, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police. Mr Khan would like to urge all Indians to come out and vote and be an active part of our electoral process”. (IANS)
