Sonam Kapoor scores 20 mn Instagram followers

Mumbai– Actress and fashionista Sonam K. Ahuja has scored a following of 20 million on social media platform Instagram, and celebrated it with a love-filled message for her fans.

“Thank you so much to all 20 million of you, you fill my heart with so much love. Thank you Tribe,” Sonam posted on her social media accounts.

The actress is quite regular with her social media updates, where she shares moments from her personal life with her husband as well as family members and friends.

She also marked her 20 million mark with three photographs in a green off-shoulder dress by fashion designer Emilia Wickstead.

“Whaaat 20 million followers,” she captioned the first image.

On the second photograph, she wrote: “Trying to be cool but jumping inside because 20000000”, followed by a third picture which read: “Yes hello? I have a tribe of 20000000.”

When a producer wanted to fry eggs on Mallika’s belly

Mumbai– A producer once wanted to fry an egg on Mallika Sherawat’s belly to portray how hot she was, the actress shared on “The Kapil Sharma Show”.

On the show, Sherawat was asked: “Mallika, we have heard rumours about you. I’d like to confirm them with you. It’s said that whenever your photo is printed in a newspaper, people pack their lunch in it so that it stays hot for a longer period of time.”

She said the claim was true and added: “I was doing a film. There was a song. The producer seemed to be a novice, so he couldn’t figure out how to portray that Mallika is very hot. He sent an idea through a choreographer…that he wanted to fry an egg on my belly.”

The audience seemed to be in shock. When asked if she agreed to do the scene, the actress said: “I didn’t do it.”

Sherawat shot to fame after doing bold scenes in the 2004 film “Murder”. “When I came into the film industry, filmmakers did not know what to do with me, what kind of role I should be offered because I am a strong, opinionated actress with no inhibitions of ‘kissing on screen’. I am always comfortable in my skin,” she had told IANS in an interview.

Amitabh shares meme on Mumbai’s rain pain

Mumbai– Megastar Amitabh Bachchan lightened up the mood for Mumbaikars with a meme taking a dig at the woes caused by the rain.

On Tuesday, Big B took to Twitter to share a meme which has a snapshot from the video of the popular song “Do lafzon ki hai dil ki kahani”. The song, from the film “The Great Gambler”, was picturised on Amitabh and Zeenat Aman as they took a boat ride.

Big B found the picture fit to the situation in Mumbai, where the roads are clogged with water as rain continued to disrupt normal life for the fourth consecutive day.

“Jalsa hote hue,” Amitabh posted with the picture which also had a blurb saying: “Bhaiya Goregaon lena”.

Jalsa is the name of his residence in Juhu.

Fans swoon over Monalisa’s ‘Kamariya’ act

Mumbai– Bhojpuri actress Monalisa grooved to the song “Kamariya” from the film “Loveyatri”, leaving her fans delighted.

“Kamariya … Style… #passion #dance,” Monalisa posted on Instagram along with a video that she posted recently.

Dressed in a sleeveless top and a pair of denim shorts, the actress looks simple and casual as she moves and grooves to the peppy number with a smile on her face. Her love for dancing is evident in the video.

“You’re a treat to watch,” commented one Instagram user on the video, while others praised the dance as “hot and sexy”.

In the past, Monalisa had participated in a dance reality show. She often takes to her social media account to share her dance videos. Monalisa features in the TV show “Nazar” and was also a contestant in “Bigg Boss 10”.

Rishi Kapoor wishes luck to Jaaved Jaaferi’s son

New York– Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor, who is currently in New York for medical treatment, has sent his best wishes to Meezaan for his debut film “Malaal”. Meezaan is the grandson of veteran actor Jagdeep and son of Jaaved Jaaferi.

“New star. Wishing Jagdeep sahab’s grandson, Jaaved Jaaferi’s son, the third generation actor – Meezaan, all the very best on his debut film ‘Malaal’. God bless and all the best. Blessings,” Rishi tweeted on Tuesday.

Directed by Mangesh Hadawale, “Malaal” also features filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s niece Sharmin Segal, who is also making her acting debut in Bollywood with the movie.

“Malaal” is releasing on Friday.

Hrithik aspires to be Madhuri Dixit’s hero

Mumbai– Actor Hrithik Roshan recently had a fanboy moment when he met actress Madhuri Dixit Nene.

Hrithik on Tuesday took to Instagram and shared a photograph of himself with Bollywood’s ‘dhak-dhak’ girl.

“Dancing with Madhuri Dixit had me shuffling in my head between assistant and hero. Thank you ma’am for encouraging that clapper-boy. He still aspires to be your hero,” Hrithik captioned the image, reminiscing the days when he assisted his father Rakesh Roshan on the 1997 Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri-starrer “Koyla”.

His most recent meeting with Madhuri was on the sets of Colors TV show “Dance Deewane”, where he came to promote his upcoming film “Super 30”.

Ranveer takes credit for cute Sara, Kartik’s first meet

Mumbai– Actors Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan made a “million memories” while shooting for their upcoming film, helmed by filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. Sara’s “Simmba” co-star Ranveer called them cute and reminded them that he was the one who helped in making the two meet for the first time.

Sara posted some images taken on the sets of the upcoming film. In one of them, the two actors are seen holding each other and looking at the camera.

She captioned them: “It’s a wrap. Sixty six days and a million memories. Thank you Imtiaz Ali for making my dream come true. I truly appreciate your warmth, patience and consideration with me every single day. Being on your set has been a privilege that I will always cherish and already miss.”

“Thank you Kartik Aaryan for instantly making me comfortable with you, for selflessly giving and for consistently looking out for me. From coffees about you to chais with you, I wish we could do it all over again.
