Sonali Bendre: Ironic that Gudi Padwa falls at the start of 21-day lockdown

Mumbai– Maharashtrians observe new year through the festival of Gudi Padwa on Wednesday. Actress Sonali Bendre has mixed emotions on the special occasion, what with the implementation of the 21-day lockdown in the wake of coronavirus outbreak.

“Happy Gudi Padwa… it’s ironic that the new year falls at the start of the #21daylockdown…but in someways it’s a sign of what we need to do.

“Introspect, realign and look to the future,” she wrote on Instagram.

Gudi Padwa is the first day of the month of Chaitra and marks the beginning of the New Year as per the Hindu calendar.

To lighten up the mood of people amid serious health crisis, Sonali posted a throwback picture that shows her all dressed up in tradional Maharashtrian saree.

Diljit hilariously requests people to stop posting workout videos amid COVID-19

Mumbai– It seems singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh is fed up of seeing people’s workout videos and pictures amid coronavirus outbreak.

On Wednesday, Diljit took to his Instagram account and posted a picture in which we can see him holding a placard that reads, “stop posting your home workouts.”

Taking a hilarious dig, Diljit also asked people to “khao piyo aish karo mitro ( eat, drink and have fun)”.

“Workout kisey nu dikhayeo na…te nede kise de jayio na ( Don’t show your workout to others and don’t go close to someone),” he added.

Agreeing to him, actor Ravi Dubey commented: “sahi baat.”

Actor Karan Tacker wrote: “haha legit.”

On the work front, Diljit, who was last seen in “Good Newwz”, will be next seen in “Jodi”.

Kartik Aaryan raps on coronavirus in new video

Mumbai– Actor Kartik Aaryan turned rapper with a new song he has made on the outbreak of COVID-19.

Kartik took to Twitter on Wednesday, where he uploaded a video that shows him rapping. In the clip he shares the do’s and dont’s during the
pandemic.

He captioned: “Jab tak Ghar nahin baithoge, main yaad dilaata rahunga! #CoronaStopKaroNa #CoronaRapKaroNa Keep spreading the word.”

This is not the first time Kartik has tried something quirky to spread the awareness for COVID-19.

Earlier this week, Kartik, who shot to fame with the famous monologue in his 2011 debut film “Pyaar Ka Punchnama”, has came up with a new
monologue in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.

Lockdown diaries: Arti Singh experiments in kitchen

Mumbai– Actress Arti Singh was locked in the “Bigg Boss” house for a few months. Now with Coronavirus confining people to the four walls of their homes, it seems like an extension of the reality show for most. Arti is making the most of it.

She has been documenting her self-quarantine period for her YouTube channel where the actress can be seen cooking and sharing recipes of her favourite dishes.

Giving a glimpse of her cooking skills on Instagram, she posted: “Cooking has always been my passion! You all saw me in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house cooking for three months and now here I am during lockdown cooking for myself. And so I thought why not share with you guys! Here is a recipe for a delicious, desi style chicken curry! Try it out at home and let me know how you like it.”

Arti’s sister-in-law, actress Kashmera Shah, commented: “Market main chicken mil raha hai kya (Is chicken available in the market)?”

Shahid Kapoor to be seen in an “action film” after ‘Jersey’

Munbai– On an Instagram qna session, actor Shahid revealed a few details about his upcoming projects. Apart from the cricket drama “Jersey”, he said he would also be seen in an “action film”.

Shahid Kapoor made his Bollywood debut opposite Amrita Rao in “Ishq Vishk” in 2003. Since then, they have co-starred in films like “Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!” (2005) and “Vivah” (2006). It’s been a while since the two have shared screen space, and Shahid says he misses working with Amrita. When a fan asked Shahid about his experience working with Amrita, he said: ” Amrita is a special co-star. I miss working with her. She is a wonderful actor.”

The interactive online session did not end here. Shahid also answered questions about his film “Haider” in which he shaved his hair off.

When a fan asked him what his biggest lesson from ‘Haider’ was, Shahid quipped: “Sar mundvao to bal wapas aane mein bahut time lagta hai (It’s not easy to grow back hair sfter you’ve shaved your head).”

Aalisha Panwar: Dancing is like a stressbuster

Mumbai– “Ishq Mein Marjawan” actress Aalisha Panwar, who is a trained Kathak dancer, says dance can be a stressbuster.

“I have been very fond of dance since the beginning. I used to perform at every event of my college. I am a trained Kathak dancer and I want to explore more. I also have to learn other dance forms. I am planning to start by taking out time after shooting soon,” said Aalisha.

“I have not got any opportunity in my career where I can present my art of dancing. For me, dancing is like a stress buster. No matter how tired I am after working, fresh energy returns to me once I dance,” she added.

Aalisha is currently seen in the Star Bharat show “Meri Gudiya”, which is based on the story of a mother and a daughter. The mother dies and returns to protect her four-year-old daughter Avi. Her soul settles in the daughter’s doll. (IANS)
