Shilpa Shetty begins New Year fitness with Mayurasana
Mumbai– As soon as she is done with the holiday and party season, Shilpa Shetty is back to her workout and how! Being the fitness freak that she is, the actress keeps experimenting with new Yoga asanas every now and then. And the latest in her list is the Mayurasana, which the actress has nailed with perfection!
Shilpa took to Instagram on Monday to share a video of her performing the Mayurasana. She captioned: “The FIRST Monday of the year deserves something special! So, I decided to post the asana I found most difficult to do in 2019. A lot of consistent practice and effort. All worth it… Nailed the Mayurasana YESSSSSS (or the Peacock pose) this morning.”
Informing about the benefit of the asana, the actress further wrote: “It is an advanced Yoga asana that improves digestion and focus. It also enhances wrist flexibility and blood circulation, while strengthening the arms. When you can start balancing your entire body weight on your palms, it helps build your self-confidence too!”
Shilpa also challenged her fans to try and perform the difficult asana: “It may not be as easy as it looks, but practice makes us perfect, doesn’t it? Which was the toughest asana that you conquered? Golden Globes: Priyanka-Nick’s stylish red carpet outing
Los Angeles– Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her hubby Nick Jonas made a stylish appearance at the red carpet of the 77th Golden Globe Awards ceremony.
Dressed in a pink off-shoulder ensemble, Priyanka looked no less than any diva and it was her diamond neckpiece which grabbed the maximum attention.
On the other hand, Nick look dapper in a black suit.
Sharing their pictures from the gala on Instagram, Priyanka wrote : “Golden Globes 2020.”
In one of the images, the star couple can be seen walking hand in hand.
Sonnalli Seygall: ‘Feel unsatisfied when I keep getting sexy roles’
Mumbai– She has played the sexy Rhea in “Pyaar Ka Punchnama”, the hottie Supriya in “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2” and done a glam cameo role in “Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety”. But Sonnalli Seygall she feels unsatisfied getting only such roles, which don’t explore other aspects of ther talent.
Was she okay being objectified? “I wouldn’t call it objectify. Maybe that was slightly true in ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’. But, when you are offered roles like that, I personally don’t look at them as objectification, but yes, I do feel that I got type cast. It was not out of choice. It was not that I chose those parts and I only wanted to play glamorous, sexy characters,” Sonnalli told IANS.
She says only glamorous characters have kept coming her way: “Somewhere it got broken in ‘Highjack’ and ‘Setters’, because of ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama 2’. My role in ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama’ 1 was extremely uber glamorous, model type. Also because I am from a modelling background and I’ve been a Miss India, so it was easy for Luv sir (Luv Ranjan, director) to see me like that initially.
“It was only in ‘Pyar Ka Punchnama 2’, that it was broken a little bit, perhaps not in the terms of the look, but character. That’s what led to my characters in Highjack and Setters, where I’ve played a pilot and cop, respectively.”
Currently, she awaits the release of her next film “Jai Mummy Di”, which is slated to release on January 17.
She feels her character in the forthcoming film will break that “typecast perception completely”.
John Abraham, Aditya Roy Kapur teaming up for ‘Ek Villain 2’?
Mumbai– Director Mohit Suri’s 2014 hit “Ek Villain” is set to have its second installment starring actors John Abraham and Aditya Roy Kapur.
According to bollywoodhungama.com, John Abraham was approached for the sequel of the 2014 revenge saga, “Ek Villain” in 2019. The actor was in talks, at the time, with Suri. But in 2020, he is on board to play the lead alongside Aditya in “Ek Villain 2”.
The 2014 film, was an action thriller and a tragic love story, featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh.
The portal states that Suri is returning as the director for the second installment, which will be produced by Bhushan Kumar and Ekta Kapoor. “Ek Villain 2” will be a new story and not a sequel where John and Aditya are pitted against each other. It will also have an intense love story at its core and the makers are currently working on signing a top actress.
Both the actors have earlier heard the narration of the film and really liked it. They heard the final narration recently and signed the film.
The film will go on the floor in the second half of 2020 once all the actors are finalised.
Troll calls Vaani Kapoor ‘malnourished’, actress replies
Mumbai– Actress Vaani Kapoor gave a befitting reply to a troll who asked her if she was “suffering from malnutrition”.
Vaani on Monday morning treated her fans to a new photograph of herself on Instagram. In the image, the “War” actress is seen wearing gym wear and flaunting her svelte figure.
She captioned the image: “Back to the grind”.
Soon after the actress posted the picture, a user commented: “Suffering from malnutrition are ya?”
To which, Vaani replied: “Why don’t you find something productive to do in life? Please stop being harsh on yourself life is so much better… Stop reflecting hate.”
Another user questioned her why she did not get the iPhone 11.
Vaani said: “Cuz I’m happy with what I have… Didn’t feel the need to impress you.”
The 31-year-old’s latest photograph currently has over 1,71,799 likes.
On the work front, Vaani will next be seen in “Shamshera” along with Sanjay Dutt and Ranbir Kapoor.
Deepika awaiting ‘the right kind of film’ to work with Salman
Mumbai– Actress Deepika Padukone has opened up on the possibility of doing a film with Salman Khan, and has revealed she will start shooting for her upcoming untitled relationship drama, co-starring Ananya Panday and “Gully Boy” fame actor Siddhant Chaturvedi, in March.
“I am working with Siddhant Chaturvedi in my next film, which is directed by Shakun Batra. We are starting it in March,” she said, during an event to promote her next release “Chhapaak”, which opens on Friday.
Earlier producer Karan Johar tweeted that the untitled film will hit theatres on February 12, 2021.
At the event, Deepika was amused when a journalist asked her about rumours that she is pregnant. “Do I look like a pregnant? I will ask you when I will plan (to have a family). If you give me permission then I will plan. If I become pregnant then you will see that in nine months,” she retorted.
Asked if she would be on Salman Khan’s show “Bigg Boss” to promote “Chhapaak”, she said: “No, there is no conversation of going to ‘Bigg Boss’.” (IANS)
