Shahid Kapoor: When your films work, people are interested in you

Mumbai– Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor, who has delivered 2019s highest-grossing film “Kabir Singh”, has said that he does not believe in being complacent after success. Rather, he wants to be a part good films no matter how much they collect at the box-office.

“I don’t believe in feeling complacent. I feel you should always strive to do better. When you do certain work then it stays in your memory and when you do work over the years, then those memories and experiences become part of your life. I think that’s why the more work you do, the better you can become,” said Shahid on Wednesday in Mumbai.

“I think there is a lot to learn and I feel very fortunate that I have been working in this industry for 15-16 years now. I am thankful that people have appreciated my work, but I have a long way to go. I think I have achieved really less in these 15 or 16 years so I want to do many things in the rest of my career, because now with every year, you grow older and there are younger people with exciting talent who come along. You learn from them, but as far as you are getting opportunity to act, and as far as people are interested in you, you have to enjoy it and give it your best,” said Shahid, while interacting with the media at Vogue Beauty Awards 2019.

‘Kisi aur naal’ is close to my heart: Asees Kaur

Mumbai– Asees Kaur, the voice behind Bollywood songs such as “Ve maahi” and “Akh lade jaave”, says her new non-film track “Kisi aur naal” is very close to her heart.

The song, written by Goldie Sohel and Kunaal Vermaa, describes the struggle one goes through when friendship turns into one-sided love.

“This track ‘Kisi aur naal’ is very close to my heart as this is my first track with my dearest friend and talented musician/composer Goldie Sohel. We have been working on various projects together and we are super excited to finally see our work come out and what better than a platform like VYRL Originals,” said Asees.

“Kunaal Vermaa and Goldie Sohel have written the song beautifully and with Goldies’s composition the song is sure to touch everyone’s heart with a track you can relate the most. We’ve worked a lot on the video too, starting from the concept to the locations and shots. This song is more special to me because this is the first time I’m featuring in a music video and I couldn’t be more glad about it,” she added.

The video has been directed by Sandeep Sharma and was shot in Himachal Pradesh.

Ayyaz Ahmed: I really wanted a break from TV

Mumbai– Actor Ayyaz Ahmed is back on the small screen after a year. He says he needed a break from TV to try out different things.

The actor has joined the cast of “Shakti” as a bodyguard.

“My character is negative. That’s how we’re going to start. Later on, I don’t know what the character will become,” he said.

The “Kitani Mohabbat Hai” actor was quite busy during his break.

“For a year, I was quite busy with my restaurant, which I opened during my last birthday. So initially, I was busy with that and then I was concentrating on working on myself. I was also doing web series in between,” he said.

“I really wanted a break from TV and I wanted to try different things. Trust me, it’s totally different doing a web series as compared to a TV show. First of all, they have a fixed script, you know your character, you know your story. So you can make the whole graph of the character, how you can approach the character and you know where it’s going to end. In TV, you have no idea when your character might get positive from negative or vice versa and same is with the story.” (IANS)
