Shah Rukh Khan says he resonates with Mufasa as a father

Mumbai– The king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan is set to return as the voice of Mufasa in the upcoming animated film ‘Mufasa: The Lion King’. The megastar said that he relates with the character of Mufasa as a father, and also resonated with his journey in the film.

The film will also feature the voices of his cubs Aryan Khan and AbRam. While Aryan will lend his voice to the character of Simba in the Hindi version of the film, AbRam will be voicing the character of Young Mufasa.

Talking about the association, Shah Rukh Khan shared, “Mufasa has an incredible legacy and stands as the ultimate king of the jungle, imparting his wisdom to his son, Simba. I deeply relate to him as a father and also resonate with Mufasa’s journey in the film”.

‘Mufasa: The Lion King’, depicts Mufasa’s life from childhood to his rise as an incredible king, and revisiting this character has been exceptional.

SRK added, “It’s a special collaboration for me with Disney, particularly because my sons, Aryan and AbRam, are part of this journey and sharing this experience with them is truly meaningful”.

Bikram Duggal, Head of Studios, Disney Star, said in a statement, “The ferocious Mufasa is more than just a fictional character, he embodies a spirit that continues to inspire generations, a quality Disney strives to bring with every story”.

Pooja Hegde’s ‘mantra for life’ is ‘inner peace’

Mumbai– Actress Pooja Hegde on Monday revealed her ‘mantra for life’ and it is nothing but ‘inner peace’.

Pooja, who has 27.2 million followers on Instagram, took to the Stories section and shared a cute picture of a mouse pad, which has a panda imprinted on it, and ‘inner peace’ written on it.

The diva captioned the post as: “Mantra for life”, followed by a yoga girl emoji.

In an another Instagram post, Pooja shared a string of photos, from her latest photoshoot. The jaw-dropping pictures shows Pooja wearing a crop white shirt with long sleeves, and a black now.

She has paired it with a body hugging black long skirt. Pooja has kept her makeup all glam– brown lips, thick brows, and contoured cheeks, and her hair is tied up in a braided pony tail. The look was rounded off with emerald green earrings.

The post is captioned as: “When you have a zoom call at 8, but a pary at 9”.

Pooja, who was the second runner-up at the 2010 ‘I Am She-Miss Universe India’ pageant, made her acting debut in 2012 with the Tamil film ‘Mugamoodi’. Her first Telugu release came in 2014 with ‘Oka Laila Kosam’, which featured Naga Chaitanya.

She has been a part of Telugu movies like ‘Mukunda’, ‘ DJ: Duvvada Jagannadham’, ‘Saakshyam’, ‘Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava’, ‘Maharshi’, ‘Gaddalakonda Ganesh’, ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’, ‘Most Eligible Bachelor’, ‘Acharya’, ‘F3: Fun and Frustration’.

The 33-year-old has also featured in Tamil movie ‘Beast’. The spy action thriller film written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar stars Vijay in the lead role.

She made her Bollywood debut in 2016 with period action film ‘Mohenjo Daro’, which is written and directed by Ashutosh Gowariker. The film starred Hrithik Roshan in the lead and is based on the ancient Indus Valley civilization.

Pooja has appeared in Hindi movies like ‘Housefull 4’, ‘Radhe Shyam’, ‘Cirkus’, and most recently ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.

She next has action thriller ‘Deva’ directed by Rosshan Andrrews and written by the duo Bobby-Sanjay. The film stars Shahid Kapoor in the lead role.

Pooja also has ‘Suriya 44’ in the kitty.

Ananya Panday seeks divine blessings on ‘Shravan Somvaar’

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Ananya Panday has sought divine blessings from Lord Shiva on the occasion of the fourth ‘Shravan Somvaar’.

Ananya took to her Instagram, where she shared a picture of herself posing next to Shiva Linga, adorned with flowers. She is seen sitting with folded hands as the picture was taken. She then shared a closeup image of the Shiva Linga.

For the caption, the actress wrote: “Shravan Somvaar.”.

August 12 marks the fourth Monday of the auspicious Shravan month. The Shravan Somwar Vrat holds immense significance for devotees of Lord Shiva. The devotees fast as they believe it brings blessings.

Talking about Ananya, she made her acting debut in 2019 with “Student of the Year 2.” She was then seen in “Pati Patni Aur Woh,” a remake of the 1978 film of the same name. The daughter of actor Chunky Panday has then worked in movies such as “Khaali Peeli,” “Gehraiyaan,” “Liger,” “Dream Girl 2,” and “Kho Gaye Hum Kahan.”.

She will next be seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s cyber thriller, “CTRL,” and the web series titled “Call Me Bae.”.

In “CTRL,” Ananya will be seen as a content creator. The project marks Ananya’s second film following ‘Kho Gaye Hum Kahan’, which explores the digital space impacting lifestyle. It also stars Vihaan Samat, portraying a romantic couple who produce content on social media.

Talking about “Call Me Bae,” it traces the story of a billionaire fashionista, Bae, who is disowned by her ultra-rich family due to a salacious scandal.

On Sunday, the actress shared a video of herself lifting 120 kg in the gym.

Mumbai– On the 29th birthday of diva Sara Ali Khan, Bollywood celebrities like Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ananya Panday and Rakul Preet Singh have showered love on the Gen Z actress, wishing her love, laughter and joy.

Taking to Instagram Stories, Kareena, who has 12.7 million followers on the photo sharing application, shared an unseen picture of Sara, posing with her father and actor Saif Ali Khan.

On the work front, Sara made her acting debut in 2018 with Abhishek Kapoor’s inter-faith love story ‘Kedarnath’, alongside late actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

Rani Mukerji, KJo invited to address Australian Parliament House ahead of IFFM 2024

Mumbai– Actress Rani Mukerji and filmmaker Karan Johar have been invited to address a keynote speech about Indian cinema at the Australian Parliament House.

The event is to take place on August 13, ahead of the 15th annual Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM), which is slated to commence from August 15.

Rani is proud to represent the Indian film fraternity at the Australian Parliament House and speak about the rich history of cinema that we have offered to the world at large.

Calling it a milestone moment for the fraternity, Rani said: “It would be an honour for me to speak about the growing cultural ties between Australia and India through cinema.”

“Indian cinema comprising Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Bengali, Assamese, Odia, Hindi, and others, is right now at the forefront of shaping pop culture worldwide with our talent, our films making a mark globally.”

Rani said that Indian cinema brings a lot of joy to the world.

“Our films bring a lot of colour into people’s lives. As an entertainer, I have always loved to see people going on a journey with the emotions that our cinema has to offer. I’m humbled to represent my country which is so diverse and its cinema reflective of each different culture at the Australian Parliament House .”

The keynote address is set to be attended by distinguished dignitaries, Members of Parliament, and various ministers, underscoring the global impact and cultural significance of Indian cinema.

Director Karan Johar too is deeply honoured to be invited to speak at the Australian Parliament House.

“I am thrilled to be a part of this historic event and to celebrate the incredible journey of Indian cinema. It’s incredible to see how far the stories we as an industry create travels, and this moment is a testament to the growing influence of the cultural impact of Indian cinema,” Karan said.

He added: “I’m grateful to the house, the members of the parliament for extending this invite and to have me represent the rich legacy of cinema and storytelling”.
