Richa Chadha: ‘Inside Edge season 2’ is more engaging
Mumbai– Season 2 of “Inside Edge” will soon stream and actress Richa Chadha, who plays a pivotal role in the show, promises her fans that the new season has a much more gripping and power-packed storyline. Every character development will engage the audience till the end, she adds.
“My character Zarina Malik has transformed very interestingly since the first season. In the first season, Zarina tried to do things in a rightful manner but she faced a lot of obstacles. Now she is questioning herself, as to why this is happening, why she is doing this, while it only puts her in trouble. The character goes into that tussle over going into the dark side of matters,” Richa told IANS.
“Inside Edge”, which was nominated at the 46th International Emmy Awards in the Best Drama Series category, is produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani, and written by Karan Anshuman. The new season introduces a few new characters, to be essayed by Amir Bashir, Sapna Pabbi, Makrand Deshpande, Flora Saini, Luke Kenny and Elli AvrRam.
The story of the show revolves around a cricket league and the interest of greedy businessmen investing in cricket teams, and the dirty games that go on behind the scene.
Amitabh comments on fake video, gets corrected by fans
New Delhi– Bollywood icon Amitabh Bachchan was caught on the wrong foot after he praised a syncronised dance by a group of women, which his fans pointed out was fake.
After a video clipping of the women dancing in tandem, claimed to be shot in China, appeared, Amitabh posted on his Twitter handle @SrBachchan: “wow .. even their locks of hair move in sync…”
His fans were quick to point out his mistake. One wrote: “It’s fake video sir..well edited thats all..”.
“I doubt…computer generated…old post..”, remarked another.
Replying to @SrBachchan, one user remarked: “Was watching Agneepath yesterday… Yeh duniya bahot bighdeli hai Gaitonde Saheb..”.
One user had posted a meme of Bollywood diva Rekha looking dazed. Another meme was of a child in slumber.
Replying to a fan, one Twitter user wrote: “Editing hai ma’am… It’s not sync or talent. It’s just one girl. Tik Tok is full of such videos. Stop spreading false news”.
Preity Zinta shooting for American sitcom ‘Fresh Off The Boat’
Los Angeles– Actress Preity Zinta is back in action and that too on on the American show “Fresh Off The Boat”.
Preity, who will feature as a guest star in an upcoming episode, has already starting shooting for the show.
Announcing her new project, she took to social media and wrote: “And so it begins…. On location to shoot ‘Fresh Off The Boat’. Now that the first day of shoot is over and I’m still alive and not shaking with nervous energy …. here is a photo… It’s amazing how a change of scene can make you feel like a newcomer. Loving and absorbing it all.”
Along with it, she shared a mirror selfie clicked in her make-up room.
Set in the ’90s, “Fresh Off The Boat” centers on hip-hop loving teenager Eddie Huang and his family, who have adjusted to Orlando and the suburban American lifestyle.
“Fresh Off The Boat” is currently in its sixth season.
India VJ-actor-comedian Vir Das is also a part of the show.
Apart from the sitcom, Preity will also be seen essaing a cameo role in Salman Khan’s “Dabangg 3”.
Jacqueline goes into ‘Attack’ mode in Janurary
Mumbai– Actress Jacqueline Fernandez revealed she will start shooting for her upcoming action film “Attack” in January. The John Abraham-starrer is a two-heroine project with Rakul Preet Singh sharing screen space, and Jacqueline says she is okay with that fact.
“I play a really fantastic role in the film, and the role that Rakul does is also brilliant. When I heard the story, I was like ‘Wow, Rakul’s role is really nice’ (laughs). I think she will do full justice to it. I am happy she is part of the project,” said Jacqueline.
She continued: “It’s amazing that Rakul has joined us in the film. We had a chat about this and I met her recently, too. I am coming together again with John in this fantastic script and we also have Rakul on board, so it will be great.”
Asked when she would start shooting for “Attack”, Jacqueline replied: “We will start shooting of the film in January.”
On September 30, John had posted a video on Instagram to make a formal announcement of “Attack”. The video showed international stunt coordinator Ryan Sturz teaching John how to hold a gun and shoot a target. “Getting ready to “ATTACK” #mynextactionfilm,” John had wrote in the caption of the picture.
“Attack” is helmed by debutant director Lakshya Raj Anand and will be produced by John Abraham.
Farhan Akhtar, Rakeysh Mehra wish Milkha Singh as iconic athlete turns 90
Mumbai– Track and field legend Milkha Singh turned 90 on November 20, and among celebrities who wished the sporting hero on his special day were actor Farhan Akhtar and filmmaker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra.
Farhan had played the role of Milkha singh in the latter’s biopic, “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”, which released in 2013, while Mehra directed the film.
The actor posted his congratulatory message on Instagram along with a black-and-white picture of Milkha, who is popularly known as the ‘Flying Sikh’.
“Happy birthday to the ‘Flying Sikh’ .. love you Milkha-ji. Wish you good health and happiness always. realjeevmilkhasingh,” wrote Farhan.
Director Rakeysh Mehra wished Milkha on Instagram, and wrote: “Meri umar bhi aap ko lag jaaye.. Many happy returns of the day, sir.”
He also posted a hand-drawn sketch of Milkha Singh with his Insta post.
Milkha Singh won a gold medal at the 1958 Commonwealth Games and was the only gold medal-winning athlete of our country till 2010. He also won two gold medals at the Asian Games of 1958 and in 1962.
In “Bhaag Milkha Bhaag”, Farhan portrayed the athlete’s struggles in professional and personal life before he went on to attain glory.
Tanishaa Mukerji, Siddhanth Kapoor to star in ‘Khabees’
Mumabi– Kajol’s sister Tanishaa Mukerji, who was away from the silver screen for a long time, on Wednesday announced her next film, titled “Khabees”.
Directed by Sarim Momin, the film also features Siddhanth Kapoor.
“Hey everyone ! Super excited to announce my next, titled ‘Khabees’, a new genre of thriller,” she wrote on Instagram.
Apart from “Khabees” , Tanishaa will also be seen in “Code Name Abdul”, which revolves around a secret mission given to RAW. Tanishaa gets top billing in the film that also has budding actor Akku Kulhari.
Tanishaa earlier featured in films like “Neal N Nikki” and “Tango Charlie”. (IANS)
