SHRUTI HAASAN ADMITS TO GETTING PLASTIC SURGERY
Chennai– Actress Shruti Haasan recently took to her Instagram page to slam bodyshaming while admitting that she had gone under the knife. Having undergone plastic surgery, she says she neither advocates it nor is against it, adding that she chooses to live that way.
In a long yet brave post, Kamal Haasan’s daughter said: “I’m not one driven by other people’s opinions of me but the constant commenting and she’s too fat now she’s too thin is so avoidable. These two pictures have been taken three days apart. I’m sure there are women out there who relate to what I’m going to say. Most often I’m at the mercy of my hormones mentally and physically and over the years I work hard to try and have a healthy relationship with it. It isn’t easy. The pain isn’t easy the physical changes aren’t easy but what’s become easier to me is to share my journey. No one famous or not is in a position to judge another person. Ever. That’s just not cool. I’m happy to say this is my life my face and yes I’ve had plastic surgery which I’m not ashamed to admit. Do I promote it ? No am I against it ? No — it’s just how I choose to live. The biggest favour we can do for ourselves and others is just be and learn to accept the changes and the movement of our bodies and minds.”
SRK SHOULD MAKE DDLJ2: GAURI ON TRUMP MENTIONING FILM IN SPEECH
Mumbai– Superstar Shah Rukh Khan should make a sequel of his 1995 blockbuster “Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jaayenge”, his wife Gauri Khan feels.
Gauri’s contention came in the wake of US President Donald Trump mentioning DDLJ in his speech while addressing the packed crowd at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad on his recent India visit. He spoke of DDLJ as one of the ‘classic films’ that the Indian film industry has given to the world, leaving SRK fans in a frenzy.
Asked how it feels when one of the most influential leaders in the world acknowledges her husband’s film, Gauri said with a grin: “May be he (Shah Rukh Khan) should make part two of DDLJ. That’s the next plan and I think he will do that. I am going to tell (DDLJ director-producer) Aditya Chopra to make part two, so every president and prime minister who enters India should discuss that.”
Gauri, who is a successful interior designer, then revealed a secret about SRK. The Bollywood superstar could be an architect if he had not joined films, she revealed.
CHITRANGDA SINGH: I LOVE HANDLOOM CRAFT OF BENGAL
Kolkata– Actress Chitrangda Singh was in town to shoot for her upcoming film “Bob Biswas”, and she made most of her stay by going on a sari shopping spree.
The “Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi” actress traversed the length and breadth of Gariahat and Hatibagan, areas that are considered to be street shoppers’ paradise.
“I absolutely love the handloom craft of Bengal. It was one of the main reasons why I was excited about being stationed in Kolkata. I bought saris fashioned from Murshidabadi silk, tussar silk and the famous Baluchari sari,” said Chitrangda.
The spin-off movie that the actress is shooting for tells the backstory of the assassin Bob Biswas in Sujoy Ghosh’s 2012 Vidya Balan-starrer, “Kahaani”. Although Bob Biswas was brilliantly performed by Bengali actor Saswata Chatterjee in that film, Abhishek Bachchan will star in the title role of the spin-off flick. Ghosh co-produces the film with Shah Rukh Khan, while Diya Annapurna Ghosh directs.
Apart from “Bob Biswas”, Chitrangda’s other upcoming production right now is “Soorma 2”. (IANS)
