Ranveer’s ‘Govinda 2.0’ tweet gets 100 from Nagpur Police

Mumbai– Actor Ranveer Singh took his fans back to the nineties by tweeting a few lines of the hit song “What is mobile number” from the Govinda-starrer “Haseena Maan Jaayegi”. While his fans gave him all quirky responses, Nagpur City Police also joined in the fun.

The actor shared an image which was shot for a magazine. He is seen posing with a phone.

He captioned it: “Whatt is mobile number? Whatt is your smile number? Whatt is your style number? karu kya dial number?”

Nagpur City Police responded with the helpline number: “100.”

One Twitter user wrote: “Trulyyy…Govinda 2.0 for this gen!”

Another posted a photo of his wife Deepika Padukone and wrote:” Dial anyone get cashback. Dear Ranveer,

Anushka Shetty turns 38, releases teaser of new film ‘Nishabdam’

Chennai– Anushka Shetty turned 38 on Thursday, and celebrated by releasing a teaser of her upcoming multilingual thriller “Nishabdam” for fans. The film co-stars R. Madhavan.

Directed by Hemant Madhukar, “Nishabdam” stars Anushka as a mute artist whose romantic getaway with her husband turns into a nightmare when she becomes a witness to murder.

The teaser, which doesn’t feature any dialogues, projects all the key characters of the film as prime suspects in the case.

“Nishabdam” has been entirely shot in Seattle. The film, which has been produced by Kona Venkat, features Anjali in the role of a crime agent in Seattle Police Department. The supporting cast includes Hollywood actor Michael Madsen and Subbaraju.

Originally shot in Tamil and Telugu, the film will be released in Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada as well. If everything goes as planned, the film will hit the screens early next year.

Honoured to share stage with PM Modi: Yami Gautam

Dharamshala– Actress Yami Gautam, who attended a two-day global investors’ meet at Dharamshala in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday, says she feels honoured to be a part of the event, which was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“It was a humbling experience to share the stage with our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur. It’s the unified efforts of overall development that’s finally being realised, and I am thrilled to be a part of this event that is working towards evolving Himachal into a stronger state with better infrastructure, job opportunities and monetary benefits.

“It’s a great initiative by the state government to help expand the economic, financial and environmental avenues through this,” Yami said.

Yami, the brand ambassador of the Rising Himachal Global Investors’ Meet 2019, also exchanged pleasantries with the PM.

The meet is being held to showcase investment opportunities in the state.

Ayushmann Khurrana: I’m always learning from Aamir Khan

Mumbai– Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is having an exciting time in Bollywood as in the last few months, he has been giving back-back hits. But he has no qualms about admitting that he is a huge fan of another actor’s work – Aamir Khan.

Ayushmann did a social media chat on Thursday and was told by a user that his cinema choice is remarkably similar to Aamir’s. Both have been doing films that give out a strong social message.

Ayushmann replied to this saying: “I’m a huge fan of @aamir_khan sir’s work and I’m always learning from him. He is one of the greatest icons of Indian cinema and he is a huge inspiration to me. I met him on the sets of dangal and was in awe of his simplicity and clarity of thought.”

He is now looking forward to the release of “Bala” on November 8.

Shivaleeka Oberoi signs her 2nd film ahead of debut

Mumbai– Ahead of the release of her debut film “Yeh Saali Aashiqui”, actress Shivaleeka Oberoi has already signed her second movie, which will be opposite Vidyut Jammwal.

Titled “Khuda Hafiz”, the film is already on the floors and Shivaleeka is playing Vidyut’s love interest. The shooting is underway in Uzbekistan.

Talking about her role, Shivaleeka said: “I am really thankful to Kumar Mangatji for showing faith in me. It’s wonderful to be working with an actor of Vidyut’s caliber and experience. I am learning a lot and it’s a role very different from what I have portrayed in my first film which makes it all the more challenging.”

“Khuda Hafiz” is being directed by Faruk Kabir. It is scheduled to release next year.

Ajay Devgn making ‘The Ramsay Biopic’

Mumbai– Actor-producer Ajay Devgn is working on a biopic on The Ramsay Brothers.

Producer Priti Sinha, who is partnering with him on the film, has acquired the rights.

The Ramsay Brothers are known for making horror films in India. Now, Ajay along with Sinha will be taking their story to the masses, and telling their story.

Titled “The Ramsay Biopic”, it is written by Ritesh Shah.

“The late Shri Tulsi Ramsay and Shyam Ramsay along with every member of the Ramsay family instilled their faith in us by giving us their biopic rights. Ajay and I are honoured and excited to depict the fascinating journey of passion, hardships and immense success of 3 Generations of the Ramsay family who successfully set up the horror empire in India,” Sinha said.

The Ramsay Brothers are known for films like “Veerana”, “Purana Mandir”, “Purani Haveli” and have created the renowned television show “Zee Horror Show”.

Sakshi Tanwar: Important for girls to be educated

Mumbai– Actress Sakshi Tanwar of “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii” fame says it is important for a girl to be educated and self-sufficient for the progress of her family as well as for the society and the country.

The actress was on the set of “Kaun Banega Crorepati” for its Karamveer Special episode. She featured with social activist Shyam Sunder Paliwal, who is known for changing the mindset of the people of Piplantri village (Rajasthan) towards the girl child. Through his constant efforts, for every girl child born in Piplantri, a Fixed Deposit is said to be made of Rs 31,000 and 111 tress are planted in her name.

“Piplantri is a successful working model in front of us and more villages should follow this. There are lot of efforts made by Shyamji behind this initiative and if people realise the importance of this model and put it to practice, then we can certainly progress as a country,” said Sakshi.

“A girl plays various roles across different stages of her life; from being a daughter, to a mother and even the link that holds an entire family together. A child’s source of learning in initial stages is a mother.
