Rajkummar Rao to co-host IIFA Rocks 2023 in Abu Dhabi

Mumbai– Bollywood actor Rajkummar Rao will be seen co-hosting the upcoming IIFA Rocks 2023 in Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

The two-day event will begin on May 26 and on May 27 will have the main IIFA Award event.

IIFA Rocks highlights the music and fashion of Indian cinema.

The event will have some of the best actors coming together and performing on top Bollywood numbers for a fun-filled event.

On the work front, Rao will be next seen in ‘Stree 2’. He will also be seen with Jahnvi Kapoor in ‘Mr & Mrs Mahi’ which is directed by Sharan Sharma.

Manoj Bajpayee-starrer ‘Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ heads to New York Int’l Film Festival

Mumbai– The upcoming courtroom drama Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai starring Manoj Bajpayee in the lead is set to be screened at the New York International Film Festival. The film directed by Apoorv Singh Karki has Manoj essaying the role of a lawyer.

Manoj, who is a recipient of Padma Shri and National Award, will leave from Mumbai in a few hours to attend the screening in New York.

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ is the story of an ordinary man, a high court lawyer, who single-handedly fights an extraordinary case of the rape of a minor under the POCSO Act.

Presented by Zee Studios and Bhanushali Studios Limited, Suparn S. Varma’s courtroom drama is produced by Vinod Bhanushali, Kamlesh Bhanushali, Asif Sheikh and Vishal Gurnani and co-produced by Juhi Parekh Mehta.

Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai’ is all set to premiere on ZEE5 on May 23.

Jackky Bhagnani set to join action universe with ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’

Mumbai– After Rohit Shetty and Aditya Chopra, actor-producer Jackky Bhagnani is all set to take plunge into the action genre with his upcoming film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, which stars Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff in lead roles.

On what made him do an action film, Jackky said, “I aim to create a unique universe of high-octane action entertainers for Indian audiences, and ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ marks our foray into this. Stepping into the world of action is something I am very passionate about.”

He added, “I am really looking forward to creating top-notch action sequences and we are ready and super excited to take the Indian audience on a new journey of action films packed with entertainment and thrill. We will explore various kinds of stories and create content that the larger section of the viewers can resonate with. ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with Akshay sir, Tiger Shroff and Prithviraj Sukumaran is just the start and it is the first of our vision.”

Jackky had recently announced the release date of ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’, which will hit the theatres on Eid 2024. The producer also has ‘Ganapath’ in the pipeline.

‘Adipurush’ dialogue writer Manoj Muntashir on how India can become ‘Vishwaguru’

Mumbai– Manoj Muntashir, who has written the dialogues of the upcoming Prabhas-starrer ‘Adipurush, on Tuesday spoke about how it’s imperative for every Indian child to transform into lord Ram for India to attain the status of world power.

At the film’s trailer launch, Manoj claimed India is on its way to become one of the most powerful nations in the world and how it’s a testament to ‘Ram Rajya’ in India.

Speaking at the sidelines of the film’s trailer launch at, he said: “India has become the fifth largest economy in the world after bypassing the UK. India is on its way to becoming Vishwaguru. But, for India to become vishwaguru, it’s imperative that every child in this country transforms into lord Shri Ram”.

Manoj is known for his hardline political stance and in the past has shared a video about how the country had been brainwashed and roads were named after “glorified dacoits” like Akbar, Humayun and Jehangir.

A few days back Manoj also criticised Congress’s claim for putting a ban on Bajrang Dal as a part of their manifesto during the high-voltage Karnataka elections.

Ekta Kapoor, Rhea Kapoor reunite for new film

Mumbai– Filmmakers Ekta Kapoor and Rhea Kapoor have joined hands once again for a yet-untitled film, which is scheduled to release on September 22, 2023.

The details of the project are under wraps.

The yet-untitled next is produced by Balaji Telefilms Limited and Anil Kapoor Film Communication Network.

The two have already joined hands for in the 2018 film ‘Veere Di Wedding’ starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Swara Bhasker, Shikha Talsania and Sonam Kapoor.

Their second collaboration is for the upcoming movie ‘The Crew’, which stars Tabu, Kareena, Diljit Dosanjh and Kriti Sanon. The story follows three women who work and hustle to move on with life. But as they try to make their way forward, their destinies lead them to some unexpected and unwarranted situations, leading them to get caught in a web of lies.

The film, directed by Rajesh Krishnan and co-produced by Balaji Motion Pictures Limited and Anil Kapoor Productions, is set to go on floors by the end of March 2023.

Daisy Shah on ‘KKK 13’: Trying to test my strength, patience and limits

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Daisy Shah, whose been away from the silver screen since 2018, is all set to make a comeback with the stunt-based reality show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ Season 13 and she is looking forward to perform stunts under filmmaker-host Rohit Shetty’s guidance.

Why did she want to do the show?

“(I am) Trying to test my strength, patience and limits,” Daisy told IANS.

“Nervous to perform stunts like obviously. Because, If I am not then I am over confident so that’s not going to happen,” said Daisy, who was last seen in the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Race 3’ in 2018.

Talking about the excitement to share screen space with Rohit Shetty, she said: “Yes, I am super excited I have known Rohit (Shetty) sir for the longest time.”

She added: “I can’t wait to meet and connect with him because there are a lot of things we might talk about bhoole bhisrey memories we shared, we might talk about that. Also, looking forward to perform stunts under his guidance. Rohit has been very motivating since I have known him and stunts he pushes more.”

What has kept Daisy, who has worked as an assistant to choreographer Ganesh Acharya, away from the big screen?

“The first reason being Covid and second reason is that I have finished shooting for two projects. They are under post-productions and should be ready to release by the end of this year.” (IANS)
