‘Light of my world’, Nick wishes Priyanka on 37th birthday

New York– American pop singer Nick Jonas shared a heart-melting birthday wish for his actress wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas, whom he called the “light of my world”.

Nick on Thursday evening uploaded a photograph on Instagram of Priyanka, who turned 37, in a powder pink embroidered mesh saree.

He captioned it: “Light of my world. My whole heart. I love you baby. Happy birthday.”

Nick also shared a video of the “Isn’t It Romantic” star dancing in a fiery red sequined dress which he captioned, “Birthday girl in red”.

The “Quantico” actress tied the knot with Nick in two extravagant ceremonies at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, India in December 2018.

On the work front, Priyanka will be next seen in Shonali Bose’s “The Sky Is Pink” co-starring Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim. While Nick will feature in the upcoming films “Midway” and “Jumanji: The Next Level”.

Twinkle collaborates with supermodel Natalia Vodianova

Mumbai– Writer-producer Twinkle Khanna is collaborating with the international supermodel Natalia Vodianova for a charitable cause.

The collaboration is a part of Elbi India, a platform for philanthropic rewards-based subscription service. Twinkle has announced several exclusive gifts and experiences for users to redeem in return for their charitable donations.

Talking about the collaboration with Elbi’s co-founder Natalia, Twinkle said in a statement: “I’m so excited to be collaborating with Natalia and a platform as thoughtful as Elbi India. Their work is a completely new take on charitable giving and I am honoured to be able to provide further incentives for the rewards-based system.”

“I have always taken such an interest in the methods of different charities in the country and this is an exciting new development,” she added.

My parents want me to date ‘susheel ladka’: Sonakshi

Mumbai– Actress Sonakshi Sinha’s parents want her to date a “susheel ladka”, and she says it is hard to find someone like that in Bollywood.

Asked for her views of dating someone in the industry, Sonakshi said: “My parents want me to date a ‘susheel ladka’ and no one from the Bollywood film industry is like that.”

Sonakshi, daughter of actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha and Poonam Sinha, went on to reveal that she was in a relationship with someone from the industry.

“I have dated a celebrity and the world doesn’t know,” she said, without divulging details about her romantic liaison.

“If my boyfriend cheats on me, he won’t live to see the next day,” she added.

Directed by Shilpi Dasgupta, Sonakshi’s upcoming film “Khandaani Shafakhana” depicts the story of a young girl who inherits her dead uncle’s sex clinic in Punjab. The film is slated for release on August 2.

Talking about working with Shilpi, the actress said: “Women directors come with a kind of sensibility and sensitivity that male directors do not have.”

The actress opened up on an episode of show “By Invite Only”.

Govinda’s dance inspires TV star Vishal Aditya Singh

Mumbai– Actor Vishal Aditya Singh, who is a participatant in the ninth season of “Nach Baliye”, says he is trying to adapt the “carefree” dancing style of actor Govinda.

“I am a huge fan of Govinda sir and I look upto him when it comes to style and dancing. He has a carefree attitude and that is something I like the most about him. He is my biggest inspiration,” Vishal said.

Vishal is known for his acting stints in television shows such as “Begusarai” and “Chandrakanta”. He will participate is on the Star Plus dance show along with ex-girlfriend Madhurima Tuli.

Apart from Govinda, Vishal also looks up to Hrithik Roshan to learn dance.

“Hrithik’s ability and agility in dancing are totally unmatched. I watch his dancing videos when I have to do set dance,” he added.

Men don’t need to scream about equality: Anusha

Mumbai– Popular TV host and video jockey Anusha Dandekar feels there is not a need for men to scream from their rooftops about equality or empowerment.

“We don’t need men to scream from their rooftops about equality or empowerment. Its just the basic understanding between both species — male and female,” Anusha said.

“So, we don’t need you to scream about it but just do it,” she added.

On how she became a veejay, Anusha said: “When I wanted to become a veejay, I told everyone at the age of nine that it is what I was going to do, and at the age of 19, that’s what I was.”

Anusha was speaking on the show, “11 Mantras of Being Unstoppable with Ananya”.

Singer Kanika Kapoor also looked back at her journey in the industry on the show.

“I grew up in Lucknow in a non-Bollywood family. My parents let me explore music, which was nowhere near a traditional family set-up. A lot of eyebrows were raised because my parents let me do what I wanted to do. They inspired me and pushed me to live my dream and gave me the best opportunity possible,” said Kanika.

‘Lootcase’ a welcome break from intense roles: Rasika

Mumbai– Actress Rasika Dugal says shooting for the comedy film “Lootcase” was a much-needed break from the intensity of her other projects.

Rasika is known for projects like “Qissa: The Tale of a Lonely Ghost”, “Manto”, “Hamid” and “Delhi Crime”.

“Shooting for ‘Lootcase’ was a welcome break and a much-needed relief from the intensity of the other projects I was doing at that time,” said the actress, who earned plaudits for her performance in web series “Delhi Crime” and “Humorously Yours Season 2”.

“I am thrilled about the variety of genres I have had a chance to experiment with over the past year. I am looking forward to the release of the film in October,” she added.

“Lootcase” revolves around a red suitcase. Directed by Rajesh Krishnan, it also stars Kunal Kemmu, Gajraj Rao, Ranvir Shorey and Vijay Raaz. It is slated to release on October 11. (IANS)
