I’m asthmatic: Priyanka Chopra

Mumbai– Indian actress Priyanka Chopra says she’s asthamatic and there is nothing to hide about it.

Priyanka on Monday tweeted an ad campaign where she is seen talking about how asthama did not stop her from achieving the highs in her career.

“Those who know me well know that I’m an asthmatic. I mean, what’s to hide? I knew that I had to control my asthma before it controlled me. As long as I’ve got my inhaler, asthma can’t stop me from achieving my goals and living a ‘Berok Zindagi’,” she tweeted.

On the Bollywood front, Priyanka is shooting for “The Sky Is Pink” with actor Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.

The film, directed by Shonali Bose, is based on a true life story and will be shot in Mumbai, Delhi, London and the Andamans. Juhi Chaturvedi is writing the dialogues and Pritam Chakraborty will be composing the music for the film, which is backed by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur.

“The Sky Is Pink'” reportedly revolves around Aisha Chaudhary, who became a motivational speaker after being diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 13.

Priyanka Chopra kisses ‘baby’ Nick Jonas on birthday

Mumbai– Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra shared an adorable photograph kissing her fiance Nick Jonas, whom she fondly calls “baby”, on his 26th birthday.

Jonas turned 26 on Sunday, and Priyanka, who is currently Dallas with the pop star shared a photograph of herself planting a kiss on Jonas’s cheek.

“Happy birthday baby,” she captioned the image.

Actress Parineeti Chopra, who is Priyanka’s cousin, tweeted: “Happy birthday Nick! Nick Jonas, this year love and lady luck is sorted, so now I can only wish you all the happiness in the world! Throwback to the first family picture we all ever took.”

Priyanka and Nick, along with their families and close friends, had gathered in Mumbai for pre-wedding festivities, including a traditional ‘roka’ ceremony, on August 18.

Nick left for the US with his family a day later, while Priyanka went back to shooting her new Hindi film “The Sky Is Pink”.

Rajkummar Rao introduces ‘Made In China’ characters

Mumbai– Actor Rajkummar Rao introduced his and actress Mouni Roy’s characters in the forthcoming film “Made In China”.

Rajkummar on Monday shared his photograph in a striped shirt and Mouni’s in green sari.

He captioned the image: “Meet Raghu and Rukmini. This Independence Day be independent! ‘Made In China’ on August 15, 2019! Mark your calendars!”

The upcoming film is a hilarious take on a struggling Gujarati businessman and the bizarre journey he undertakes to become a successful entrepreneur.

The film also stars Boman Irani and will hit the screens on Independence Day next year. It is being produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films.

‘Thugs of Hindostan’ to release worldwide on November 8

Mumbai– Superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan-starrer “Thugs Of Hindostan” is all set to hit the screens on November 8.

The logo of the action entertainer film, which also features Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, was unveiled on Monday.

The Yash Raj Films production is being helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, who directed Katrina and Aamir in “Dhoom: 3”. It is an adaptation of the 1839 novel “Confessions of a Thug”.

It has been extensively shot in picturesque locations of Malta and Rajasthan.

“Thugs Of Hindostan” will be digitally remastered in the IMAX format. It is the fifth such Indian movie.

Before this, “Dhoom: 3”, “Bang Bang!”, “Baahubali 2” and “Padmaavat” got the IMAX treatment.

Salman inaugurates special children’s centre in Jaipur on Tuesday

Jaipur– Well-known Bollywood actor Salman Khan will officially inaugurate “Umang” — a centre for special children — in Jaipur on Tuesday, said an official on Monday.

After unveiling the plaque, he will meet the children and see the services provided by the centre for rehabilitating them, said Trustee of Umang and former Rajasthan Tourism Minister Bina Kak.

The actor will also meet the citizens of Jaipur who have been supporting the centre and its work, according to her.

Kak said that Khan, better known as “Bhai” in Bollywood, will also inaugurate a shop housing various products, which are made by the children and have been put up for sale.

The cine star has been in touch with Umang children in the past also and they have a huge affection for him.

Later, in the evening the “Dabangg” star will attend a programme at Amara Auditorium in Jagatpura. The event will feature dance performances by the children of Umang, who have been trained by well-known choreographer Shiamak Davar.

Salman Khan will also be honouring donors of the institute. He is also likely to participate in a dance medley based on various songs from his films.

Kinshuk growing hair to play Arjun

Mumbai– Actor Kinshuk Vaidya is growing his hair to play Arjun in the upcoming show “KarnSangini”, which is set against the backdrop of the Mahabharat.

“KarnSangini”, a fictional story, is the tale of Karn and his sangini, Uruvi.

“I am very excited to play the role of Arjun and have been building a lean body for my character. I loved my short hair, but to do justice to my character, I am growing my hair long, up to my shoulder because I want my look to be natural,” Kinshuk said in a statement.

“I didn’t want to use wigs and wanted to add my personal touch to it,” he added.

“KarnSangini” will soon premiere on StarPlus. (IANS)
