Priyanka Chopra wishes mother Madhu for new venture

Mumbai– Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas has wished her mother Madhu Chopra for her new venture Studio Aesthetique, an enhancement clinic.

Priyanka on Monday shared a string of photographs on Instagram from the clinic.

The “Isn’t It Romantic” actress wrote: “One of the greatest individual challenges we face in our lives is the ability to constantly evolve as people and professionals. It means pushing yourself to challenge the status quo. It’s something I work towards everyday with everything I do.”

Priyanka, who co-owns the production house Purple Pebble Pictures with her mother, added: “”She has constantly reinvented herself in the pursuit to be her best self in her many roles from a physician in the army, to a film producer, an entrepreneur to a daughter, wife, sister, mother and a friend.”

The 36-year-old actress said she feels proud to stand beside her mother and her business partner Neeti Kamodi.

“Congratulations mom, your ability to challenge yourself to excel at everything you do has inspired us to be the people we are today! Here’s to many more milestones.” Priyanka added.

Parineeti recreates ‘Mohabbatein’ moment

Mumbai– Doing that quintessential Yash Raj Films (YRF) heroine routine of shooting in a sari in the snow is something that most Indian actresses dream of. Actress Parineeti Chopra had her moment of recreating it.

“Yash Raj heroine tutorial: Fake switzerland in Madh Island. Fake snow in 34 degrees heat. Fake wind. One ‘Mohabbatein’ song. But one real filmy girl! Couldn’t stop laughing after this shot,” Parineeti posted on Instagram on Tuesday.

She posted this with a video in which she is seen shooting in a bright green sari with a sleeveless blouse, and she sways to the theme of YRF’s “Mohabattein”. The set up reminds of some iconic shots out of Yash Chopra movies.

According to a source, the shoot was for a brand endorsement.

Bhumi, Taapsee wrap up ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ shooting

Mumbai– Actors Bhumi Pednekar and Tapsee Pannu have wrapped up shooting for their upcoming film “Saand Ki Aankh”, based on old sharpshooters – Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar.

Taapsee took to Twitter, where she shared a still of herself and Bhumi and captioned it: “And the curtains drop on this one. One word that will come in my mind when I think of ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ will be ‘conviction’. Saying goodbye is not my forte… so I walk away after packup leaving a piece of my heart with this ‘family’ forever and ever.”

Later, the “Naam Shabana” actress posted another photograph of the accessories her character donned in the film. Along with it, she wrote: “Prakashi Tomar you will live in me forever and ever.”

Bhumi, who will play Chandro in the film, shared a photograph of herself along with Taapsee and the film’s director Tushar Hiranandani.

“Some goodbyes are so tough,” she wrote.

She shared another image of herself in which she is seen hiding her face.

She captioned it: “Name-Chandro Tomar. Age 65 years. Profession-Mother, Grandmother and Sharp Shooter. She will always and forever be a part of me.”

Working with Selva has been special: Suriya

Chennai– Actor Suriya, who has teamed up with filmmaker Selvaraghavan for the first time in the upcoming Tamil political thriller “NGK”, has said the experience made him fall in love with cinema even more.

At the trailer launch of “NGK”, Suriya said it has been a really long wait to work with Selva.

“I vaguely remember my first meeting with Selva in 2002. He showed me the songs of ‘Kadhal Kondein’. I told him I wanted to work with him. We’ve finally worked together in ‘NGK’. It has been a long wait but working with him has been special,” Suriya said, adding that he would love to work with the filmmaker again.

In the film — a political thriller — Suriya plays someone who rises up to become a politician from the grassroot level.

Suriya said “NGK” isn’t just about politics.

‘Apna time aa gaya’: Badshah gets Rolls Royce Wraith

New Delhi– Rapper Badshah has welcomed a white Rolls Royce Wraith into his family, and in true blue “Gully Boy” style, he said, “Apna time aa gaya”.

Badshah on Tuesday took to Instagram to share an update about the new addition with his social media family.

“It’s been a long journey. Welcome to the family,” he captioned a photograph in which his family members are seen posing around the car, which is described as the “ultimate grand tourer”.

“Wraith is a motor car for those with an insatiable thirst for adventure,” the official Rolls Royce website describes the car.

Known for songs like “Saturday Saturday”, “Chull”, “DJ waley babu” and “Abhi toh party shuru hui hai”, Badshah, born and brought up in Delhi, has a huge fan following.

Film and music fraternity members congratulated Badshah on the car.

Rishi to be back in India in few months: Randhir

Mumbai– Rishi Kapoor is yet to finish his course of treatment in New York, but he will be back in the country in some months, his brother Randhir Kapoor has said amid reports that the veteran actor is now “cancer free”.

“Rishi is doing much better. He has to finish his course of treatment, and will be back in India in the next few months,” Randhir told IANS.

Randhir was swamped with calls on Tuesday after filmmaker Rahul Rawail gave out a health update on Rishi on Facebook.

“Rishi Kapoor (Chintu) is cancer free,” Rawail posted along with a photograph.

Rishi flew to New York a few months ago to undergo treatment for an undisclosed disease.

The Kapoor family has been tight-lipped about the ailment that Rishi has been fighting. (IANS)
