Priyanka Chopra is back in LA, says ‘being home is feeding my soul’

Mumbai– Priyanka Chopra Jonas is ecstatic to be back in Los Angeles after shooting for her film ‘Head of State’ in France.

Priyanka took to her Instagram stories and shared her happiness.

The actress posted a picture from her balcony along with a glimpse of her home’s interior.

“Being home… is feeding my soul,” she described her feeling after being back.

The actress had been shooting for ‘Head of State’ in Nice, France.

The film also stars Idris Elba and John Cena. It is an action-comedy film directed by Ilya Naishuller.

On May 8, Priyanka shared that she had wrapped up shooting and announced that the film would be released on a digital platform. To mark the completion, the 41-year-old actress posted a reel on Instagram, featuring moments from the film’s set.

Mumbai– Actress Sanvikaa, who plays Rinki in the popular streaming series ‘Panchayat’, has shared her experience of working with stalwarts like Neena Gupta and Raghubir Yadav, saying she learnt not to get too serious before shooting a scene from them.

Sharing her experience, Sanvikaa told IANS, “Neena ma’am and Raghubir sir are such legendary actors. There’s so much fun energy when they are around. In every take, they have something new to offer. It’s fun to watch them together. There’s always laughter and music when they are around, as both like to sing old songs.”

She added, “They are also old friends, so they keep pulling each other’s legs. Also, they treat me like their ‘baccha’ (kid). So there’s a lot of comfort around them. Being with them, I have learnt not to be too serious before performing. Not to stress and just have fun and enjoy acting. They are like walking acting books. The more you observe them, the more you learn.”

When asked about her character in the upcoming ‘Panchayat Season 3’, she told IANS, “Rinki’s character has been explored slowly from Season 1 to Season 3. This time, more of her personal life and ambitions are being explored.”

“Her love life also picks up pace in Season 3. The character is brewing slowly to give a perfect taste in the coming seasons,” she said.

Mumbai– Janhvi Kapoor, who is all geared up for the release of the upcoming romantic sports drama ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ on Thursday shared her two contrasting looks from the movie.

Taking to Instagram, Janhvi, who portrays Mahima in the Rajkummar Rao-starrer, shared two pictures.

In one photo, she can be seen wearing a white suit, exuding joy as she plays with colours and flaunting her bright, happy smile.

The second picture shows Janhvi striking a pose with a cricket bat on the field. She is wearing a red T-shirt, black joggers, batting pads, and gloves.

Janhvi captioned the post: “Mahima ke dono roop,” followed by a red heart emoji.

The ‘Dhadak’ actress’s boyfriend, Shikhar Pahariya, dropped several smiling face with heart-eye emojis on the post.

At the ‘Maidaan’ screening in April this year, Janhvi confirmed her relationship with Shikhar by adorning a custom-made neckpiece with ‘Shikhu’ inscribed on it.

The film narrates the story of an imperfectly perfect partnership between a couple with a shared love for cricket.

Directed by Sharan Sharma, ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ marks the second collaboration between Rajkummar and Janhvi, who previously worked together in the 2021 film ‘Roohi’.

‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’ is scheduled to release on May 31.

Mumbai– Celebrities like Rashmika Mandanna, Ananya Panday, and Ayushmann Khurrana on Thursday showered love on actor Vicky Kaushal on his 36th birthday.

Taking to Instagram stories, Rashmika, who is set to star alongside Vicky in the upcoming movie ‘Chhaava’, shared a solo picture of the birthday boy and penned a heartwarming note.

Hina Khan says her ‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’ character is torn between husband and son

Mumbai– Actress Hina Khan, who has made her Punjabi cinema debut with the Gippy Grewal-starrer ‘Shinda Shinda No Papa’, has shared that her character in the film is torn between the dilemma of her husband and son.

Hina plays the role of Gippy’s wife and the mother of Shinda Grewal in the film.

Sharing the thought process of her character in the film, the actress told IANS that children can be taught with love and respect by their parents, and the film focuses on the same message.

Elaborating on her role, Hina told IANS: “I play the character of Nikki, Shinda’s mother, in the film. Nikki is always torn between the dilemma of her husband and son. She is of the thought process that children can be taught with love and respect by their parents. Her core belief of life is to give love and get it back.”

The actress further mentioned that while the comedy element in the film is strong, the movie also sheds light on the relationship between parents and children, with a twist which is eventually brought in by Shinda (Gippy’s son).

“While the film is definitely a laugh riot, it also gives out a very strong message to the audience. I am very happy to be a part of a film which highlights the importance of parents and children mutually respecting each other,” she added.

“Films are a medium to inspire and tell stories to connect with people’s hearts. We have done just that in the movie. We wanted to make you guys laugh, but at the same time bring out a message which is most important in this day and age. It also highlights that parents should and can build a different relationship with their children,” she added.

Mumbai– Actress Kiara Advani, who will next be seen in the upcoming Telugu film ‘Game Changer’, has left Mumbai to attend the 77th Cannes Film Festival.

The actress was spotted at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, arriving in style as she was clicked by the shutterbugs.

She wore a light-brown long jacket paired with a cream-coloured outfit and matching sneakers, with her hair tied in a messy bun.

Kiara will represent India on the Red Cinema International Film Festival’s panel about global incentives and filming at La Plage Des Palmes on May 18. She will also attend the Cinema Gala dinner hosted by Vanity Fair at the Cannes.

Other actresses like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aditi Rao Hydari, and Shobita Dhulipala will also be at the Cannes Film Festival this year.

India has a notable representation at the prestigious film festival this year, with seven films being screened under different sections.

Filmmaker Payal Kapadia’s film ‘All We Imagine as Light’ is the first Indian film in 30 years, since ‘Swaham’, to be screened in the main segment (Palme d’Or) of the festival on May 23.

The Malayalam film follows the story of two roommates who serve as nurses at a hospital. How love and self-discovery bring about a change in their perspectives forms the crux of the story. (IANS)
