Priyanka Chopra proud of Jonas Brothers
Los Angeles– Actor Priyanka Chopra Jonas attended the premiere of “Chasing Happiness”, a documentary on Jonas Brothers, and penned a heart-melting message for her husband and pop-singer Nick Jonas.
On Tuesday, Priyanka took to Instagram to share some images with Nick. She captioned the image: “I’m so proud… Last night was another testament of how incredible your bond is as a family. Jonas Brothers, I love you all and am so proud!”
“Chasing Happiness”, available on Amazon Prime Video, promises never-before-seen footage of Nick, Joe and Kevin Jonas, starting with their early days of growing up in New Jersey in a family struggling to make ends meet. It follows them to their heights of stardom — and the events surrounding their 2013 break-up. The Jonas Brothers broke up their band after cancelling their tour due to a “deep, creative rift” among the members.
“Chasing Happiness” also shows the brothers rebuilding their relationships as siblings and band mates, leading to their first new album since 2009.
Nick tweeted: “I am so grateful for our journey together. The good the bad and the ugly. All of it helped us grow closer together. Stronger every day. I love my brothers with all my heart.”
Hrithik gives thumbs up to Deepika’s ‘sleep matters’ post
Mumbai– Deepika Padukone rooted for the importance of sleep with a quirky social media post, which got a thumbs up from actors Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan.
Deepika posted an image of a chalk board on Instagram which had “Why is sleeping considered lazy but going to bed isn’t? I am starting a #AllSleepMattersMovement,” written on it.
She captioned it: “Word.”
Hrithik found the caption funny and wrote: “Haha. Fantastic” and added a thumbs up emoji, while Abhishek replied with a thumbs up and a biceps emoji.
On the Bollywood front, Hrithik currently awaits the release of his forthcoming film “Super 30”.
While Deepika is currently working on her next film “Chhapaak”, based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
Deepika wraps up her ‘most precious’ film ‘Chhapaak’
Mumbai– Actress Deepika Padukone has completed the shooting for her upcoming film “Chhapaak”, based on the life of an acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.
Deepika on Tuesday took to social media and wrote: “It’s a wrap on the most precious film of my career. ‘Chhapaak’.”
The cast and crew has posed for a memorable group photograph, which Deepika shared along with her post.
Her husband and actor Ranveer Singh shared his excitement for the film: “Can’t wait to witness the magic.”
Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film will release on January 10, 2020. It also stars actor Vikrant Massey.
On her role, Deepika had said earlier: “It’s a very important story and it’s a true life incident, so hopefully good things will come out of it.”
“Chhapaak” has been mainly shot in Delhi and Mumbai.
Shekhar Kapur working on ‘Pradhanmantri 2’
Mumbai– Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, who had a stint on Indian television with “Pradhanmantri”, says he is now working on a second season of the show.
Kapur had hosted the show, which chronicled changes in the country during the tenures of various Prime Ministers.
His plans for a new season emerged after a social media user tweeted: “Watching ‘Pradhanmantri’ for the second time. Excellent narration by Shekhar Kapur sir. Storytelling that is reminiscent of early India. Thank you for your contribution.”
The filmmaker commented: “Will be coming up with ‘Pradhanmantri 2’ soon. Hope you like that too.”
IANS contacted Kapur about the project, and he said: “It is under development.”
The politics based documentary series was aired on a Hindi news channel.
In an earlier interview to IANS, Kapur had said he was surprised by “how popular it became”.
Trolls dub Mouni ‘plastic’, compare her to Rakhi Sawant
Mumbai– Actress Mouni Roy’s appearance at the premiere of “Bharat” got the social media world talking about the possible plastic surgeries she may have undergone, and some Instagram users compared her to Rakhi Sawant and late King of Pop Michael Jackson.
Mouni on Tuesday attended the special screening of the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer. Dressed in a neon green jacket and black dress, Mouni made a causal appearance at the screening. But her lips seemed to have grabbed all the attention.
After photographs of the screening went viral, netizens started commenting on Mouni’s look.
“Plastic surgeries ruined her beauty”, “What has happened to her lips?”, “Surgery failed”, “Plastic” and “Botox aunty” were some of the comments on the photographs, apart from comparisons with Rakhi and Michael Jackson who are known to have undergone multiple plastic surgeries.
One Instagram user slammed Mouni for not accepting “natural beauty”.
There were some who supported her.
“She is really gorgeous. I don’t get it why people have to judge her. Why don’t they mind their own business. It’s her body, her choice,” wrote on user.
Mouni, a popular face on television, made her Bollywood debut with “Gold”. She will be next seen in “Brahmastra” and “Made in China”.
SRK, son AbRam greet fans outside Mannat on Eid
Mumbai– Like every year, superstar Shah Rukh Khan waved at fans and greeted them from the balcony of Mannat, his house, on the festival of Eid on Wednesday.
Dressed in white kurta pyjama, SRK came out to his terrace along with his youngest son AbRam to greet a throng of fans outside his home. AbRam was dressed in red T-shirt and jeans.
Later, SRK took to Twitter to thank his fans for Eid wishes. “Thank you all for spending your Eid with me. May god bless you all with health and happiness,” he wrote along with a video in which he is seen giving flying kiss to the fans, who were waiting outside Mannat.
Many photographs from SRK’s Eid celebrations are doing the rounds on Internet. In one of the viral images, the father-son duo is spotted kissing.

‘Jungle Cry’ is the story of underdogs: Abhay Deol
Mumbai– Actor Abhay Deol says the film “Jungle cry” is an example of how sports can open doors for people stuck in the cycle of caste.
“It’s an incredible story. It’s a story of the underdogs. It’s about hope and aspiration and classic example of how sports is an opportunity for a lot of people who are stuck in this cycle of caste, a big thing in our country. It’s an outlet for them and shows how it (sports) can help them,” Abhay told IANS.
“Jungle Cry” is a sports biopic based on life of rugby coach Rudraksh Jena and is inspired by the true story of the rugby team of the Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS).
Abhay is portraying Jena in the film, which tells the story of tribal children who learnt the sport from scratch and within four months could win the junior World Cup in the UK in 2007.
The trailer of “Jungle Cry” was released on May 19 at Cannes Film Festival 2019.
On the inspiration of the film, Abhay said, “The KISS, started by Achyuta Samanta, in Odisha with all these tribal kids, has over 30,000 students now.”
Akshay Kumar does chopper stunt for ‘Sooryavanshi’
Bangkok– After surprising fans with his bike stunt, actor Akshay Kumar stunned everyone with a photograph of himself hanging from a helicopter, while shooting for “Sooryavanshi” here.
Akshay on Wednesday took to social media and uploaded the photograph in which he is seen hanging from a helicopter, chasing director Rohit Shetty who is on a bike.
“Casually hanging, off a helicopter…just another day on the sets of ‘Sooryavanshi’. “P.S. Do not try this on your own, all stunts are performed under expert supervision,” Akshay captioned the image.
Reliance Entertainment is presenting “Sooryavanshi”, which is backed by Rohit Shetty Picturez, Dharma Productions and Cape of Good Films.
Akshay plays the lead role of Veer Suryavanshi, a character that was introduced as an anti-terrorist squad officer in a cameo role performed by the “Kesari” star in the Ranveer Singh-starrer “Simmba”.
Actress Katrina Kaif will be seen as Akshay’s love interest in the movie that also stars Neena Gupta, playing Akshay’s mother.

Suhana, 19, is one of the most talked-about Bollywood star kids on social media — for her looks or hangout sessions.
The photograph in news is the profile photograph of Suhana’s private Instagram account. She is seen clicking a mirror seflie.
Dressed in a strapless top that is accessorised with minimal jewellery, Suhana looks gorgeous. But more than her looks, it is her ATM card stuffed inside the back cover of her mobile, that is talked about.

Kajol pens emotional note for Veeru Devgan
Mumbai– Actress Kajol has penned an emotional note, remembering her late father-in-law and Bollywood’s ace action director Veeru Devgan.
Kajol on Tuesday tweeted a photograph of herself along with Veeru, father of her husband Ajay Devgn.
She captioned the image: “In happier times…. He won the award for a lifetime of achievement on this day, but it took a lifetime to prove. So many people mourn the life of the man but that was a life well-lived… RIP with love.”
Veeru Devgan, 85, breathed his last on May 27.
Apart from directing action sequences for films like “Himmatwala”, “Mr. India”, “Khatron Ke Khiladi”, “Phool Aur Kaante”, “Dilwale” and “Laal Badshah”, he had directed the 1999 film “Hindustan Ki Kasam”, starring Ajay and megastar Amitabh Bachchan. (IANS)
