Pooja Batra: I’m really looking forward to making a comeback

Mumbai– Actress and former beauty queen Pooja Batra said that she is looking forward to making a comeback on the big screen if the right opportunity arises.

“I’ve been busy with my work commitments in the US, but I’m really looking forward to making a comeback. If the right opportunity arises, I’m excited to get back on the silver screen and reconnect with my fans,” Pooja said during the song launch of ‘Nashe Mein High’, a track sung by Poonam Jha.

The 48-year-old actress reflected on her career, noting that she has always “followed her heart.”

“And I think everyone should. In a competitive world, it’s easy to lose sight of our passions, but Poonam’s new song proves that ‘Apne Dil Ki Sunne Ki Koi Umar Nahi Hoti’,” said Pooja, who made her film debut with ‘Virasat’ in 1997.

The actress congratulated the singer for the hip-swaying number.

“Congratulations to Poonam and her team for creating a vibrant, foot-tapping anthem that I’m certain will be a party favourite all year. A message I want to convey to all my fans is, ‘Embrace your passions and work towards your dreams, because it is all that matters ultimately!’”

Pooja began modeling at a young age and has participated in over 250 modelling events and ad campaigns. She gained prominence in 1993 when she was crowned Miss India International.

The actress entered Bollywood in 1997 with her debut film ‘Virasat’, starring Anil Kapoor, and later appeared in ‘Bhai’ with Suniel Shetty.

Pooja made a name for herself in Bollywood with films such as ‘Haseena Maan Jayegi’, ‘Dil Ne Phir Yaad Kiya’, ‘Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye’, ‘Nayak: The Real Hero’, and ‘Taj Mahal: An Eternal Love Story’, which was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival in 2004, among others.

She was last seen on screen in 2021 in ‘Squad’, an action thriller directed by Nilesh Sahay.

Shilpa Shetty dazzles in golden saree, glossy lips & smokey eyes

Mumbai– Actress Shilpa Shetty on Monday left the internet ablaze with her golden saree look, setting major ethnic fashion goals.

Taking to Instagram, Shilpa, who has 32.3 million followers on the photo-sharing application, dropped a string of photos, in which we can see her wearing a sheer golden saree, with matching beads on the border. She has paired it with the matching sleeveless blouse, which has a sweetheart neckline.

For the makeup, Shilpa opted for – glossy brown nude lips, golden eyeshadow, thick brows and smokey eyes. She has kept her hair straight open.

Shilpa has accessorised the look with golden earrings, and a matching bangle.

The post is captioned as: “GOLD #workmode #delhidiaries”, followed by a wink, and sparkle emoji.

A fan commented on the post and said: “dignified, regal”. Another user said: “Queen in gold.”

Another fan wrote: “Graceful and elegance at their best.”

Shilpa had made her acting debut with the 1993 thriller movie ‘Baazigar’. Directed by Abbas-Mustan, the film starred Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles. She then went on to feature in movies like ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’, ‘Pardesi Babu’, ‘Dhadkan’, ‘Garv: Pride & Honour’, ‘Life in a… Metro’, ‘Hungama 2’, and ‘Nikamma’.

Recently, she starred in the comedy-drama ‘Sukhee’, directed by Sonal Joshi. It also features Amit Sadh, Dilnaz Irani, Kusha Kapila and Pavleen Gujral.

Shilpa has also featured as Tara in ‘Indian Police Force’, created and directed by Rohit Shetty and Sushwanth Prakash. The series stars Sidharth Malhotra, and Vivek Oberoi.

She next has ‘KD’ in the pipeline.

Sonam Kapoor misses her ‘unhuggy sister’ Rhea Kapoor

Mumbai– Sonam Kapoor seems to be missing her younger sister Rhea, whom she describes as “unhuggy” going by what the actress-diva has shared on social media.

Sonam took to Instagram stories and shared a meme titled “Me trying to give my unhuggy sister a hug.”

The meme humorously depicts an individual attempting to hug another, only to be pushed away.

Sonam captioned it: “@rheakapoor miss you.”

In other news, Sonam earlier this week made news after dining with business tycoon Sunil Mittal’s daughter, Eiesha Bharti Pasricha, in London.

The actress reshared Eiesha’s Instagram story, showcasing a sophisticated evening.

Known for her fashion sense, Sonam also shared insights about her approach to borrowing clothes.

The actress noted that while she bought many clothes when she was younger, borrowing them from designers proved to be more practical, something that was common internationally but not in India.

Sonam remarked, “I realised people didn’t often borrow clothes, so I started borrowing them. It didn’t make sense to buy everything all the time. I did buy a lot, but borrowing was more practical.”

The daughter of veteran star Anil Kapoor, Sonam began her career as an assistant director with filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on ‘Black’.

Arjun Rampal begins shooting for Aditya Dhar’s film, co-starring Ranveer, Sanjay Dutt, Madhavan

Mumbai– Actor Arjun Rampal, who was recently seen in the sports action film ‘Crakk’, has started working on an upcoming untitled film directed by Aditya Dhar, who is known for ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’.

On Monday, Arjun took to Instagram and shared behind-the-scenes pictures from the film’s shoot.

In the images, the actor is seen seated in a makeup chair, wearing a black T-shirt, pants, and sunglasses.

Arjun captioned the post: “And so it begins….. super stoked for this one. #bangkok #Filming #bts.”

The film also stars Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, and Akshaye Khanna.

While details about the plot are currently under wraps, the announcement has sparked excitement among fans and industry insiders.

In addition to this project, Arjun has ‘The Battle of Bhima Koregaon’ in the pipeline.

The film is a period war romantic drama that depicts the events of the historic Battle of Koregaon.

Arjun will essay the role of Sidhnak Mahar Inamdar, also known as Sidhnak Mahar, an Indian soldier of the Mahar Regiment.

The film also stars Digangana Suryavanshi.

Directed and produced by Ramesh Thete under his banner Ramesh Thete Films, the film is based on the January 1, 1818, battle in which 800 Maharashtrian Dalits of the British forces defeated an army of 28,000 led by the Peshwas.

Parineeti Chopra reveals her current addiction: ‘Walking to meetings’

Mumbai– Actress Parineeti Chopra has a new addiction that’s actually beneficial for her health.

On Monday, the actress took to Instagram stories and shared a video of herself walking.

In the video, she revealed her newfound addiction and wrote in the video, “Current addiction: Walking to meetings.”

Parineeti appeared in the video wearing a black coat, with her hair styled in loose, wavy locks.

The actress completed her look with a sling bag.

In a follow-up video, the actress humorously mentioned that while she enjoys walking to meetings, she wouldn’t be completing the round trip on foot.

The actress shared the video with the caption: “And you guys already know I’m gonna take a bus back (sic).”

Previously, Parineeti shared her life mantra, saying that the mindset of a person is everything, and it shapes a person and their perspective towards life.
