The “Ishaqzaade” actress has been prepping intensely for the character to ensure she is able to get Nehwal’s mannerisms and body language as well as how she conducts herself on and off the court, on point.

“I am a visual learner,” Parineeti said of her preparation, in a statement.

“The most important advice that I got from my entire training team, Amole Gupte sir and everybody was that I must watch Saina’s matches. I haven’t watched that many badminton matches and I really want to play exactly the way she plays.

“So, watching her matches how she drops her foot, how she uses her hand, how she uses her racket, her aggression on the court that is something that I really want to imbibe as a part of my personality. So, I have to watch all her matches and videos,” she added.

Produced by T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar and Divya Khosla Kumar, the biopic is set to release next year.

“It is wrong. I am a very approachable guy when it comes to fans. I always take out time for them. I love my fans as much as they love me. But any bitter incident is not expected.”

Vidya was interacting with the media at the announcement of nominations for the first edition of the Critics Choice Film Awards, initiated by the Film Critics Guild and Motion Content Group, here on Tuesday.

The web series will reportedly be produced by her husband Siddharth Roy Kapur.

“I am trying to do a web series which will be based on the life of Indira Gandhiji. As of now, we are trying to do it, but let’s see how it takes shape,” Vidya said.

“I feel doing a web series involves a lot of work. While doing a web series, a lot of people associate themselves with it as compared to making a film. So, it takes a lot of time. But when I will do it, I will make sure that it turns out really well,” she added.

Sonakshi, who is currently gearing up for her upcoming release “Kalank”, has started shooting for Salman-starrer “Dabangg 3”.

“I joined the team of ‘Dabangg 3’ and shot for a couple of days in Maheshwar. Now I have come back (to Mumbai) as ‘Kalank’ is releasing and I am promoting the film. I will go back to shooting again.

“Every time I enter the set of ‘Dabangg’, it is a special feeling. I started my journey 10 years ago with that film. It was my debut film opposite Salman Khan. My equation will never change with him no matter how many films I sign and what I achieve as an actress. He helped me to find my calling, I did not even know that I can act and I am an actress now,” Sonakshi told IANS here.

She said it is heartening to work on the project as the Director of Photography, producer and most of the crew members are the same.

“Only the story has evolved. One of the reasons I am excited about the film is also that I will be working with Prabhudheva again,” she added.

The “Dabangg” franchise started in 2010. The second film of the franchise released in 2012 and the third installment of the film “Dabangg 3” is slated to release in December this year.

It is a story of a young man who becomes a police officer, played by Salman. Sonakshi plays his wife Rajjo.

Swara campaigns for Kanhaiya Kumar on her birthday

Mumbai– On her birthday on Tuesday, actress Swara Bhasker flew to Patna to lend support to CPI candidate Kanhaiya Kumar by campaigning for him in Begusarai.

Swara wanted to be by Kanhaiya’s side when he files his nomination papers for the Begusarai Lok Sabha seat.

“It is a rather unusual way of spending one’s birthday. But Kanhaiya is a friend and I think he is fighting an important battle on behalf of us all. If he wins, it will be a victory for Indian democracy,” Swara said in a statement.

“I’ve never been part of a political campaign before so I literally have no idea what to expect,” added the actress, who has been vocal about her socio-political stance.

Swara said she feels “aligned to Kanhaiya’s views as a rational and patriotic citizen of the country”.

“Kanhaiya raises issues that concern all Indians — issues like the threat to the Constitutional values and to the Constitution of India, unemployment, the rise of mob violence, the need for social justice and the need to focus on issues that will better the lives of all Indians. I think as responsible and patriotic Indians we should all feel aligned to this ideology/or thought process.”

Talking about her birthday memories, she said: “My most memorable birthday was in 2012 on the sets of ‘Machhli Jal Ki Rani Hai’. The producers made sure that I had a very special day.. I think I cut some eight cakes that day and we had a rocking party that night.”

On the professional front, the actress says she is busy with projects for her production venture Kahaaniwaaley.

“I’m also finishing writing a script which I hope will go on the floors this year. So that’s a target of acting in two films this year,” she added. (IANS)
