Nushrratt Bharuccha to Undergo Spine Surgery After Accident in Bali

Mumbai – Bollywood actress Nushrratt Bharuccha suffered a spinal fracture in an accident in Bali and will be flown back to Mumbai by air ambulance for surgery, her team announced Friday.

The actress was on a work and vacation trip when the accident occurred. She remains hospitalized in Bali under medical observation and will undergo surgery following further evaluation.

“At present, our immediate priority is her health and ensuring she receives the necessary medical care,” her team said in a statement, confirming arrangements for her return to Mumbai.

Her upcoming work commitments are expected to be affected as she undergoes treatment and recovery. Her team requested privacy and thanked fans for their concern and well wishes.

Bharuccha rose to prominence with films including Love Sex Aur Dhokha and Pyaar Ka Punchnama. Her other notable films include Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, Dream Girl, Chhorii and Ram Setu.

Mumbai – Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal paid an emotional tribute to his late mother, Gwen Rampal, on her birthday, sharing cherished photographs and a heartfelt message on social media.

“Happy birthday Ma, today we all still celebrate you. I miss you, cause there is just no one like you. I know you always with me,” the actor wrote on Instagram.

Rampal also shared a collage of throwback photographs showing him smiling and posing alongside his mother, who died on October 27, 2018, following a prolonged battle with breast cancer.

The actor has frequently honored his mother through social media posts, sharing memories of their close relationship.

On the professional front, Rampal will next appear alongside Malayalam superstar Mohanlal in the upcoming film Operation Ganga. He recently described working with Mohanlal as an honor and an inspirational experience, praising the veteran actor’s talent.

Salman Khan Startled as Fan Rushes Toward Him at Film Screening

Mumbai – Bollywood superstar Salman Khan was briefly startled when an enthusiastic fan rushed toward him outside a theater during a special screening of the upcoming film Prem Keetanu.

Despite being surrounded by security personnel, the young man managed to approach Khan and grab his hand. The actor appeared surprised as his security team quickly intervened and pulled the fan away.

Khan was attending the screening to support actor Veer Pahariya, longtime friend Sajid Nadiadwala and the film’s team. He was seen greeting actor Anup Soni before entering the theater, where he also met members of the cast, including Pahariya and Aafiya Sayed.

The actor wore a light blue shirt, white trousers and dark sunglasses for the event.

Khan has experienced similar encounters in the past. In April 2026, a man approached him at an airport and put his arm around him before security intervened. Khan reportedly signaled his security personnel to calm down and continued interacting with another fan.

Hansal Mehta Shares Behind-the-Scenes Photos From Upcoming Series ‘Gandhi’

Mumbai – Filmmaker Hansal Mehta marked Gandhi Jayanti on Friday by sharing behind-the-scenes photographs from his upcoming streaming series Gandhi, starring Pratik Gandhi as Mahatma Gandhi.

The photographs, posted on Instagram, feature Pratik in character alongside sets showcasing Victorian architecture and Edwardian-era designs.

“He was a young man who did not know where he was going. He stumbled upon greatness. Today more than ever before let’s understand his journey and celebrate his chosen path,” Mehta wrote.

Based on Ramachandra Guha’s books Gandhi Before India and Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World, the series is planned for three seasons.

The first season follows Gandhi’s early life, from his teenage years in colonial India and legal studies in London to his transformative years in South Africa. Filming was completed in August 2024, and the series premiered at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.

Produced by Applause Entertainment, Gandhi marks the third collaboration between Mehta and Pratik, who previously worked together on Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story.

Sanjay Dutt Pays Tribute to Mahatma Gandhi With Iconic ‘Munna Bhai’ Scene

Mumbai – Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt marked Gandhi Jayanti by sharing a memorable scene from his 2003 film Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., highlighting Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of peace and nonviolence.

Dutt posted an Instagram video featuring a conversation between his character, Munna Bhai, and Arshad Warsi’s Circuit about Gandhi’s philosophy.

“Some values never go out of time. Remembering Mahatma Gandhiji and the ideals of truth, peace and compassion that continue to inspire generations. Happy Gandhi Jayanti,” Dutt wrote.

In the scene, Munna asks Circuit about the significance of October 2, Gandhi’s birthday. Their conversation explores Gandhi’s belief in responding to hatred and violence with peace rather than retaliation.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. starred Dutt, Warsi, Gracy Singh, Boman Irani and Sunil Dutt. The comedy explored compassion, empathy and human dignity.
