Nia Sharma defies Rajasthan’s 50-degree heat for ‘Suhagan Chudail’ shoot, team keeps her cool

Mumbai– Nia Sharma, who plays the lead in the upcoming fantasy-thriller-romance drama ‘Suhagan Chudail’, opened up about shooting in scorching 50 degrees Celsius amid the sand dunes of Rajasthan, sharing how her team kept her hydrated and cool with hand fans, ensuring that she was in her best form.

Nia shot a special opening sequence of the show in Rajasthan, braving scorching heat and unforgiving terrain.

Dressed in sizzling attire, Nia was undeterred by stubborn tan lines and temperatures that soared above 50 degrees.

Speaking about the experience, the ‘Naagin’ fame said: “Rajasthan’s beauty always sweeps me off my feet. The flavourful food, stunning architecture, and relentless 50-degree temperature were constants during our shoot. Hours under the sun left us with a tan, but as an actor, adapting is key. Every challenge pushed me to give my best.”

“My team kept me hydrated and cool with hand fans, ensuring that I was in my best form. It’s the love of viewers that drives me to outdo myself, and it makes overcoming these challenges worth it. On Thursday, Priyanka shared a glimpse of her $20 million mansion in Los Angeles after it became ‘unlivable’ due to a mold infestation.

The actress returned to her home after shooting for her upcoming film ‘Head of State’, an action comedy directed by Ilya Naishuller, in Nice, France.

Katrina shares glimpses of hubby Vicky’s 36th birthday with loved-up pictures

Mumbai– Bollywood star Katrina Kaif shared a gamut of pictures to give a sneak peek into what her husband and actor Vicky Kaushal’s 36th birthday was like.

On Friday morning, Katrina took to Instagram and shared a motley of candid pictures of Vicky.

The first image featured the ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ star sitting next to a window, smiling while looking away from the camera.

Another photo showed Vicky wearing a white sweatshirt paired with dark blue jeans, and holding a coffee mug.

The third picture seemed to be from a restaurant, where a slice of cheesecake with “Happy Birthday” written on the plate was placed beside him.

For the caption, Katrina added some white heart and cake emojis, with ‘Dekha Tenu’ from ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ playing in the background.

The actress also shared the pictures on her Instagram stories, drawing a white heart on them.

Vicky and Katrina have been married for three years. They tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Rajasthan in 2021.

Talking about their upcoming projects, Vicky’s next film is with Laxman Utekar. The film is christened ‘Chhava’, where he will be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj.

Farah Khan says children prefer entertainment over messages in films

Mumbai– Filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan shared how kids love to watch entertaining films and they don’t want messages to be told all the time through films.

Farah, who was present at the launch of the trailer of the upcoming film ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’ on Friday shared her views on making more kids-friendly films.

The ‘Main Hoon Na’ director said: “Whatever films I have made, it was loved by the kids. It doesn’t need to be said to be a kid’s friendly film to invite kids to watch the film. Kids love entertainment. They do not want messages to be told. They have schools for that. So, the real challenge is to make entertaining films that children can watch.”

Talking about the trailer of ‘Chhota Bheem’ she added: “It is a fantastic trailer. We all are Chhota Bheem fans. Indian kids need a home-grown superhero. Otherwise, we are always taking them to watch English films like Avengers, and Harry Potter. This is the first live-action film for kids. I want to congratulate the whole team for this film.”

In ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’, Bheem and his friend destroy Damyaan from dark magic.

The trailer of the film ‘Chhota Bheem and the Curse of Damyaan’ also saw the presence of filmmaker-choreographer Farah Khan.

Directed by Rajiv Chilaka, it stars Anupam Kher, Makarand Deshpande and Navneet Kaur Dhillon.

It will be released on May 31.

Nimrat Kaur recalls ’10-minute’ standing ovation for ‘The Lunchbox’ at Cannes 2013

New Delhi– Actress Nimrat Kaur has reminisced about the sweet memory of her movie ‘The Lunchbox’, which was screened at the Critics’ Week at the Cannes Film Festival 2013, recalling the 10 minutes standing ovation, saying it was something ‘huge’.

Recalling her memories of the Cannes film festival, Nimrat told IANS: “Well the first time ‘The Lunchbox’ was screened for the audience it was insane. We had a 10-minute standing ovation. And I didn’t understand what was going on.”

“I recall Irrfan Khan sir and director Ritesh Batra, me and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, all of us were standing and taking it all. And it did feel like the beginning of something huge. That is the one standout memory for me. Just that… post-screening the lights go out, and then came back on, that I will always remember… those 10 minutes,” shared Nimrat.

Seven films from India are part of the 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival this year.

Talking about the representation of Indian films on such a vast canvas globally, the actress, whose crime thriller ‘Peddlers’ was also screened at Cannes 2012, said: “We are the largest entertainment industry in the world. It’s about time and it’s wonderful the kind of work that’s coming out, all types of boundaries that are being pushed, there’s incredible content today.”

“Anybody would be proud, I feel so proud and happy. Cannes or any other film festival is about movies, entertainment and the business of entertainment. It’s wonderful to see our work being out there, and I am rooting for all the movies out there,” she added.

For the unversed, ‘The Lunchbox’ is produced by Guneet Monga, Anurag Kashyap and Arun Rangachari, which revolves around Nimrat’s character of a lonely wife who begins a friendship with a stranger (Irrfan) through letters in a tiffin carrier, mistakenly delivered to the stranger by a dabbawala.

Nimrat was last seen in the 2023 mystery film ‘Sajini Shinde Ka Viral Video’, alongside Radhika Madan. The movie is set to premiere on &xplorHD channel on May 25 at 9 pm.

Kajol reminisces about younger days, shares picture from ‘world before selfies’

Mumbai– Kajol took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about her younger days by sharing a picture from the “world before selfies.”.

Kajol, one of the highest-paid actresses in Hindi cinema, took to X and shared a monochrome picture.

Mumbai– Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan sauntered the red carpet at the 77th Cannes Film Festival in a black and gold custom-made outfit by designers Falguni and Shane Peacock. However, social media users were not impressed.

Aishwarya wore a black and gold gown with golden patterns and puffed sleeves. The ensemble also had a long train featuring 3D gold floral embellishments. She completed her look with nude make-up and chose to keep her hair half-tied.

However, social media users were not impressed by her recent look on the red carpet.

One user wrote: “Looks like a 5 y/0 conducted a DIY craft project on a bin bag.”

“Someone please remind her that she’s one of the most beautiful women on earth, and she doesn’t need to keep covering her arms all the time,” said another.

A netizen came in support of the actress.
