Neha, Angad name daughter Mehr Dhupia Bedi

Mumbai– Actors Neha Dhupia and Angad Bedi have named their first born Mehr Dhupia Bedi.

Neha on Tuesday took to Instagram, where she shared a photograph of her baby’s feet wearing booties. The booties read: “Hello world”.

The 38-year-old actress captioned the photo,”Mehr Dhupia Bedi says hello to the world.”

Neha’s husband and actor Angad on Tuesday tweeted an update about the mother-daughter duo and said that both his “girls are doing really well”.

The actress delivered her first born on November 18. According to a statement issued by her publicist, Neha delivered the child in Womens Hospital here.

Neha and Angad surprised everyone with their hush-hush wedding in May this year. They confirmed Neha’s pregnancy in August, a little over three months after their wedding.

Shakeela a brave soul who defied norms: Richa Chadha

Mumbai– Actress Richa Chadha says southern adult film actress Shakeela was a brave soul who defied the norms of the business during her time.

Talking about Shakeela, Richa said in a statement: “She was a brave soul who defied norms of the business during her time and her story was much more than what people know of. To essay the role of a living being is additional responsibility on me as actor and team as the makers of the film.”

Richa will be seen playing the role of Shakeela in the biopic, based on the life of the southern actress of the same name, whose popularity soared after the untimely and tragic demise of Silk Smitha.

She added: “I’m looking forward now that the film has wrapped up for the release next year. We have kept the story to the most authentic version of her real life. Shakeela herself has been pivotal to making this film happen and helping us in in-depth knowledge into her life which has helped us tell the story in its most authentic version possible.”

The Indrajit Lankesh film is co-produced by Magic Cinemas and Yoddhas Entertainment. It is slated to release in Summer 2019.

When Vicky Kaushal swallowed a nail

Mumbai– Actor Vicky Kaushal says he got screwed early in his life, when he swallowed a nail.

The actor recalled the incident when he became part of “No Filter Neha”, read a statement.

“I’ve got screwed in life quite early on. I was a kid, I was in school. I was in Punjab for my summer vacations. It was my mom, me and my younger brother. And there, the electricity used to go very often. It was evening and I still remember, it was a Saturday. I was actually playing with a screw, it was just there,” Vicky said.

“It was a nail. I was playing with it, trying to lick it and taste the metal. All of this is happening in the dark. I was just playing with myself, nail, screw. I just gulped the screw down. And everyone’s happy that electricity was back and I’m like mom, I ate a screw.

“She slapped me. And I was just sitting there feeling normal. They took me to the doctor, who gave two options — one surgery and second to let it pass naturally. ”

Zeenat Aman rare combination of beauty, intelligence: Shatrughan

Mumbai– Actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha has praised veteran actress Zeenat Aman and said that she is a rare combination of beauty and intelligence.

The actor also wished Zeenat, who turned 67 on Monday.

Shatrughan and Zeenat have worked together in films like “Dostana”, “Taqdeer” and “Bombay 405 Miles”.

Big B to meet UP farmers to pay off their loans

Mumbai– After Maharashtra, megastar Amitabh Bachchan will pay off loans of farmers in Uttar Pradesh and will personally meet some of them to give them their bank letters.

He will arrange for 70 farmers to travel to Mumbai and receive their bank letters, his spokesperson has said.

The superstar will be taking care of 1,398 farmer loans from Uttar Pradesh amounting to over Rs 4.05 crore.

Amitabh has done an ‘OTS: One Time Settlement with Bank Of India’ and cleared the farmer’s loans with the bank. He has also invited 70 farmers to Mumbai by blocking an entire train compartment for their travel, to personally give them their bank letters on November 26.

The farmers will receive their bank letters by Big B at his office here.

When approached, his official spokesperson confirmed: “Yes, Mr Bachchan has cleared the loans of 1398 farmers from Uttar Pradesh. He had earlier paid off the loans of Maharashtra’s farmers. And now he has done so for the debted farmers of UP. Around 70 farmers have been chosen to personally travel and receive the bank letters directly from Mr Bachchan in Mumbai, clearing their outstanding dues.”

Anushka unveils her interactive wax figure in Madame Tussauds

Singapore– Actress-producer Anushka Sharma has unveiled her interactive wax figure in Madame Tussauds here and says she is glad that her figurine is the first ever talking and interactive wax statue.

“I am glad that my wax figure is the first ever talking and interactive wax figure in Madame Tussauds Singapore. I had a special fan take over my Instagram page today to capture the Madame Tussauds experience and I am thankful for the love and support that they are constantly give me,” Anushka said in a statement.

She added: “My fans who visit Madame Tussauds Singapore can engage with my interactive figure and also take a selfie.”

Her life-like figure holds a phone personally inviting visitors to photograph a selfie with her, which can be digitally shared with friends and family.

“Anushka Sharma is a big star, and she is so nice to work with… Anushka’s new interactive figure will be a great addition for our visitors and we will continue to grow our attraction in 2019. With much more interactives and Indian film stars coming to Singapore,” said Alex Ward, General Manager, Madame Tussauds Singapore.

Anushka’s figure joins other Bollywood stars including Kajol, Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai, Madhuri Dixit, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Ranbir Kapoor in the IIFA Awards experience where you can re-live the glamour of the Bollywood awards ceremony. (IANS)
