Mrunal Thakur shares her audition clip from ‘Super 30’
Mumbai– Bollywood actress Mrunal Thakur recently took her fans on a nostalgic journey by sharing her audition clip for the 2019 film “Super 30.”
Directed by Vikas Bahl, the biographical drama starred Hrithik Roshan as Anand Kumar, the mathematician who founded the acclaimed Super 30 program for underprivileged students. On Thursday, Mrunal posted a throwback video on her Instagram Stories, showcasing her audition for the film.
In the clip, director Vikas Bahl is seen praising the actress, stating she consistently stood out during the selection process.
In the video, Vikas can be heard telling casting director Mukesh Chhabra, “I was struck. At some point in the beginning, I realized she was the one. Even though we tested her three or four times and there were other girls, she was always ahead.”
In “Super 30,” Mrunal portrayed Hrithik Roshan’s love interest. The film is based on the life of Anand Kumar, the math prodigy who established the Super 30 program in Bihar to help underprivileged students achieve their dreams of cracking the IIT entrance exams.
In an interview, Mrunal revealed that she was unaware Hrithik Roshan was part of the project when she auditioned. It was only four months later that she found out, and her first thought was of the iconic song “Ik Pal Ka Jeena” from Hrithik’s debut film.
“Super 30” was released on July 12, 2019, and received widespread acclaim for its inspiring story.
Mrunal, who began her career in television, became a household name with her role as the spirited Bulbul in the popular show “Kumkum Bhagya.” She later transitioned to films with her debut in “Love Sonia.” Besides “Super 30,” she has delivered noteworthy performances in films such as “Batla House,” “Sita Ramam,” and “Hi Nanna.”
Shraddha Kapoor reminisces about colorful spring days amidst winter
Mumbai– Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor, who was recently seen in ‘Stree 2’, is rounding up the year, with a major throwback.
On Thursday, the actress took to her Instagram, and shared a video capturing her key moments from 2024.
The video shows the actress enjoying some lip-smacking food, posing in front of a mic during a recording session, celebrating Holi with her friends, and enjoying the company of her loved ones.
She wrote in the caption, “Koi mat bolna ke late aaya post, Christmas aur New Year ke beech mein sab maaf hai. Feb + Mar ‘24 throwback”.
Earlier, the actress attended the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix Finale Race 2024. The event is a highlight on the global sporting calendar, and is known for attracting celebrities and fans from all over the world. Shraddha joined an illustrious lineup of past attendees, including Priyanka Chopra Jonas and global names like Naomi Campbell and Orlando Bloom.

Sonakshi Sinha, Karishma Tanna cheer for team India during Boxing Day Match in Melbourne
Mumbai– Actress Sonakshi Sinha and Karishma Tanna are enjoying the Boxing Day test match between India and Australia in Melbourne.
The actress was seen among the humongous crowd of fans at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Thursday. Sonakshi took to the Stories section of her Instagram and shared several videos of herself in which she could be seen cheering for team India.
One of the videos posted by the actress also shows her husband Zaheer Iqbal playing cricket with the kids on the ground during the break.
Karishma Tanna also shared pictures from the venue along with her husband Varun Bangera. In one of the pictures, posted by the actress on her feed, she can be seen holding the Indian tri-colour.
India and Australia are locking horns in the Boxing Day test which started on Thursday. The game, 4th in this series, is extremely crucial as it will decide the winner of the Border–Gavaskar Trophy as the series is currently tied at 1-1. While India won the first test match making a stellar comeback, Australia, who have been crowned the World Champions in cricket for most number of time, changed gears in the second test, and defeated India.
The third test was washed out by the rains, and was declared a draw as India avoided the follow-on.
With Australia at 300 for 6 wickets (at the time of filing this report), the match seems to be in favour of Australia so far as India hasn’t been able to put up a fighting score at the wickets in this series except for the first test match.
However, team India’s legendary bowler Jasprit Bumrah managed to get some crucial wickets including the early breakthrough of Travis Head. Travis, who has been troubling India in this series, was made to walk out on a duck by Bumrah in the first innings of the match on Thursday.
4 batsmen from Australia, Sam Konstas, Usman Khawaja, Marnus Labuschagne and Steve Smith have scored half centuries in the match, making their team sit at a comfortable position.

Arjun Kapoor falls victim to online scam, warns fans
Mumbai– Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor recently took to his social media to warn his fans about an online scam involving someone impersonating his manager.
The actor shared a post on Instagram, cautioning his followers about a fake account that had been reaching out to people, claiming to offer opportunities to connect with him. The scammer had been targeting unsuspecting fans, using the actor’s name to build credibility and trick people into sharing personal information or clicking on malicious links.
Arjun shared a post that read, “It’s come to my attention that a random account is reaching out to people claiming to be my manager and offering opportunities to connect with me. Please know that these messages are not legitimate, and I have no association with them. I would never anyone to click on links or share personal details Through such means. Please don’t fall for these scams-stay safe and alert. If you come across such messages. Kindly report the account immediately. Have a safe and merry Christmas.”
Meanwhile, yesterday, the Gunday actor extended his best wishes to the team of Baby John. Taking to his Instagram stories, Arjun shared the poster of Varun Dhawan starrer and wrote, “Wishing the entire team massive success !!! Work-wise, Arjun Kapoor was recently seen portraying the modern-day version of Raavan, Danger Lanka, in Rohit Shetty’s “Singham Again.” The film also features an ensemble cast including Ajay Devgn, Tiger Shroff, Ranveer Singh, Akshay Kumar, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
Directed by Rohit Shetty, “Singham Again,” the fifth installment in the popular Cop Universe, was released on November 1.
