Mouni Roy Deletes Post Saying She Misses ‘Little Sister’ Disha Patani
MUMBAI, India — Actress Mouni Roy briefly shared a social media post saying she missed her close friend Disha Patani before deleting it for reasons that were not immediately clear.
The now-deleted post featured Roy posing with Patani. Roy wore a black cut-out mini outfit with sneakers, while Patani appeared in a white sports bra, oversized jeans and a white cap.
“Missing my lil sister! Come back soon x @dishapatani,” Roy wrote in the caption.
Roy and Patani are known to be close friends and have often shared photos from vacations and outings together.
The post came after Patani faced online trolling following reports about Roy’s separation from businessman Suraj Nambiar. Some social media users had baselessly accused Patani of being connected to the reported split, prompting her to reportedly disable comments on her social media posts.
Nambiar addressed the speculation on May 18, denying allegations of conflict or outside involvement.
“Recent baseless reports surrounding our separation have been made in bad taste and are absolutely malicious. Let me set the record straight once and for all. There is no alimony. There are no disputes. There is no third party involved,” he wrote.
“Mouni and I chose to part ways together, with mutual respect and with full consideration for each other’s wellbeing. That is the truth. Everything else being reported is fiction, and in some cases, a deliberate attempt to vilify two people who have done nothing but ask to be left alone,” he added.
Nambiar also criticized reports that dragged others into the matter.
“I want to state this clearly and finally: there is no truth to any of the claims being made about either of us, or about any third party. Dragging other people into this is not cool. Specially innocent friends who have nothing to do with this. Mouni and I have both conducted ourselves with dignity through this period and we expect that same dignity to be extended to us by those reporting on it,” he wrote.
He said media outlets had “chosen to fabricate narratives that do not exist” and asked for privacy as both move forward.
Karisma Kapoor Praises Shahid Kapoor’s Rise From Background Dancer to Bollywood Star
MUMBAI, India — Karisma Kapoor praised Shahid Kapoor’s journey from background dancer to leading Bollywood actor during an upcoming episode of India’s Best Dancer Season 5.
Kapoor, a judge on the dance reality show, made the remarks after learning that contestant Prince had previously worked as a background dancer. She said his story reminded her of Shahid’s early career.
“Ek actor ne mere hi ek song mein mere piche as a background dancer, dance kiya tha aur voh theh *Shahid Kapoor; aur aaj aap dekhiye Shahid Kapoor kaha tak pahuch gaye hain and I see those same qualities in you,” Kapoor said.
Before his film debut, Shahid was part of choreographer Shiamak Davar’s dance troupe in the 1990s and appeared as a background dancer in several Bollywood songs. He danced behind Karisma in “Le Gayi” from Dil To Pagal Hai and also appeared behind Aishwarya Rai in “Kahin Aag Lage Lag Jaaye” from Taal.
Shahid made his Bollywood debut in 2003 with Ishq Vishk, opposite Amrita Rao and Shenaz Treasurywala. He later became known for films including Jab We Met, Kaminey, Haider, Udta Punjab and Kabir Singh.
The actor is now preparing for Cocktail 2, which also stars Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna.
Arjun Kapoor Says Pet Dog Rafa Turned His House Into a Home
MUMBAI, India — Arjun Kapoor celebrated his pet dog Rafa’s birthday with a social media post, saying the dog has taken over his house and his heart.
Kapoor shared photos and a video on Instagram showing the chocolate-colored dog during the celebration. One photo showed the actor shaking paws with Rafa while holding a birthday cake made for the pet. Other images showed the custom dog cake and close-up shots of Rafa.
“Who knew this tiny guy could take over an entire house and my heart… Janamdin Mubarak, Rafa!” Kapoor wrote.
Kapoor, 40, began his career as an assistant director and producer before making his acting debut in the 2012 film Ishaqzaade. He later appeared in films including Gunday, 2 States, Ki & Ka and Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar.
His role as Danger Lanka in Rohit Shetty’s 2024 film Singham Again drew attention from critics and audiences. Kapoor was last seen in the 2025 romantic comedy Mere Husband Ki Biwi, directed by Mudassar Aziz and co-starring Bhumi Pednekar and Rakul Preet Singh.

Sayantani Ghosh Says Parental Conflict Can Leave Lasting Impact on Children
MUMBAI, India — Actress Sayantani Ghosh said conflicts between parents can have a deep emotional effect on children, especially when they are unable to express what they are feeling.
Ghosh, who plays Maya Deshmukh in the Zee TV show Jagadhatri, discussed the issue while talking about the show’s recent storyline involving Maya, Sharad and their daughter Gunjan.
In the current track, Maya and Sharad are separated but not divorced, and their emotional distance is affecting Gunjan, a child who cannot speak or hear. Gunjan misses each parent when she is with the other and wants to see them together as a family.
“Separations and divorces do happen, and sometimes they are unavoidable too. But I strongly feel parents need to be extremely careful about how their personal chaos affects their children,” Ghosh said. “Kids learn everything from what they see around them, and many times, unknowingly, we end up setting examples that leave a deep emotional impact on them.”
She said emotional trauma from childhood can remain with a person for life, adding that children deserve “love, security, warmth, and happiness.”
Ghosh said Gunjan’s character shows how children quietly absorb the emotions around them, even when they cannot express them openly.
“Kids like her are even more emotionally vulnerable because they feel everything deeply but often struggle to communicate it,” she said. “It becomes extremely important for parents to ensure that their child does not suffer emotionally because of their personal issues.”

MUMBAI, India — The trailer for Governor, starring Manoj Bajpayee, was released Tuesday, offering a look at a dramatic chapter in India’s economic history as the country faced a severe financial crisis in the early 1990s.
The film is inspired by true events and centers on a period when India was close to bankruptcy, with public anger rising over the weakening economy. Bajpayee plays the governor of the Reserve Bank of India as the country weighs difficult steps to avoid financial collapse.
The story appears to draw from India’s 1991 economic crisis, when dwindling foreign exchange reserves and pressure on gold holdings pushed the country toward major reforms. Those changes helped open India’s economy to foreign investment and set the stage for years of growth.
Reports have suggested the film may be inspired by S. Venkitaramanan, who served as RBI governor during the crisis, though the makers have not confirmed that connection.
Governor is presented by Sunshine Pictures and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Directed by Chinmay Mandlekar, the film is co-produced by Aashin A. Shah and written by Suvendu Bhattacharyjee, Saurabh Bharat, Ravi Asrani and Shah. Javed Akhtar wrote the lyrics, with music by Amit Trivedi.
The film is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026.

MUMBAI, India — Anil Kapoor is spending time in London and marked the visit with a walk through Hyde Park, reflecting on his long association with the city.
The veteran actor shared a video of himself strolling through the park and said London has given him many memories, including film shoots, shows, romance and shopping. He also said he was looking forward to meeting friends and colleagues during the trip.
