Social media has turned everyone into health expert: Lara Dutta
Mumbai– Actress Lara Dutta, who was recently seen in the streaming series ‘Charlie Chopra & The Mystery Of Solang Valley’, has said that the world of social media and the Internet has made everyone a health expert and that it’s a very unsettling precedent.
The actress said that in matters of health one should always consult the professionals who have invested their time and energy in research and have a deep understanding of the subject.
The ‘Kaun Banegi Shikharwati’ actress attended the Media Roundtable on Empowering Menopause Conversations on Thursday, where she spoke about menstrual health.
She said, “All of us today with everything that we are exposed to, we have all become Google, Instagram doctors. Even for women, we are bombarded constantly with so much information. Today, if you want to know what you’re going through even if you mistakenly click on one link, the algorithm will throw up multiple posts about the same thing.”
She further mentioned: “They all may sound like the right fixes to what I’m going through. But, at the end of the day, are they the experts? Are they the people who really know what my personal experience is, and just because it has worked for someone, will it work for me? I believe in people, who have put their time, money, research and effort into actually getting the right kind of information.”
Tejasswi Prakash opens up on love and temptations: You can never train the heart
Mumbai– Actress Tejasswi Prakash will be seen joining her boyfriend Karan Kundrra in the upcoming episode of ‘Temptation Island India’.
From the recent promo, the duo is finally making their debut together on the show in the upcoming episode.
Talking about her take on love and temptations, she said: “You can never train the heart to believe something; what is right or wrong is only a thought that emerges in the brain. Our heart doesn’t understand this. If you fall in love, you’re just in love; there’s no going back.”
Previously, in his interviews for the show, Karan did not hesitate to express Tejasswi’s positive, practical, and mature nature. He also shared that, at times, she takes on the role of the elder one in their relationship, offering useful and effective solutions.

Vicky proposed to Katrina just a day before their lavish wedding
Mumbai– Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal, who is receiving a lot of positive response to his recently released film ‘Sam Bahadur’, graced the latest episode of the streaming chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ with actress Kiara Advani. During the episode, Vicky revealed that he proposed to his wife, actress Katrina Kaif just a day before their wedding.
Show host Karan Johar nudged Vicky to speak on the proposal, the actor blushed and revealed how their busy schedules became a roadblock for him to plan an elaborate proposal for Katrina.
Vicky shared that he finally managed to propose to her by going down on his knees a night before their wedding in their hotel before their friends and families arrived.
He said: “It was very last minute. I had been warned by everybody that if you don’t propose, it’s something you’ll have to be prepared for for the rest of your life that you got to hear about it. I did that one day before the wedding. It was dinner, just before any of the friends and families could come.”
The ‘Uri’ actor also said that he met Katrina’s siblings and mother for the first time just a week before the wedding when they flew down to Mumbai as they couldn’t meet earlier due to the pandemic.

Kiara Advani was late for her wedding, reveals KJo
Mumbai– Bollywood actress Kiara Advani, who was most recently seen in the film ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’, graced the latest episode of the streaming chat show ‘Koffee With Karan’ along with Bollywood star Vicky Kaushal. During the episode, KJo revealed that Kiara was late for her wedding with actor Sidharth Malhotra.
KJo recollected the wedding as he said: “It was such an intimate wedding; they were so filmy when they met, that whole video. I didn’t know that any of this was planned.”
Vicky reacted to it and did Sidharth’s watch act, expressing that it was all so sweet. Karan revealed that the ‘watch’ gesture was edited later because Kiara was so late! In her defence, the actress said that the baraat arrived too early. She said, “It was the earliest baraat.”
Karan laughed, as he said: “You know how Punjabis are at the baaraat. The baaraat was filled with such vigour and energy which kept increasing. But then it reached a point where we were like, ‘Koi Kiara ko bulaao ab. Kab aayegi?’. It was getting so hot and all of us were tired. Everyone was actually giving gaalis to Kiara but when she came, she was looking so beautiful that it was all forgotten.”
The actress also shared the intricate details of Sidharth Malhotra’s romantic proposal and revealed that he said the lines from their 2021 film ‘Shershaah’ to propose to her.
She said: “He’s like, ‘Dilli ka sidha sadha launda hoon’ (I am a simple boy from Delhi) with the full dialogues of ‘Shershaah’ and I burst out laughing.”
