Lara Dutta Urges Early Action and Open Conversations on Alzheimer’s
Mumbai — Actress Lara Dutta has called for greater awareness and earlier conversations about Alzheimer’s, sharing that her 80-year-old mother has lived with Alzheimer’s and dementia for about a decade.
Speaking at an Alzheimer’s awareness conference on World Alzheimer’s Day, Dutta said recognizing early signs and seeking professional help can improve care and support for patients and their families.
“Today is World Alzheimer’s Day, and the most important message I would like to share is that we tend to think Alzheimer’s is just a disease of forgetfulness,” she said. “My mother is 80 years old, and she has been living with Alzheimer’s and dementia for quite a long time—about 10 years, a decade.”
Dutta said her family has relied on doctors, caregivers and a strong support system to care for her mother.
She urged people not to dismiss changes in memory or thinking as normal aging and encouraged families to consult healthcare professionals as early as possible.
“The most important thing today is that we talk about it and start a conversation,” Dutta said, adding that early awareness can help families better understand the disease and prepare for the care required.
She also encouraged people to ask questions, seek reliable medical guidance and build strong support systems for those living with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Parineeti Chopra Thanks Raghav Chadha for Support Ahead of ‘Shaque’ Release
Mumbai — Parineeti Chopra thanked her husband, politician Raghav Chadha, for being a “big support” as he cheered her on ahead of the release of her streaming series “Shaque.”
Chadha shared the show’s trailer on Instagram and recalled visiting the set in Shimla, where he met the cast and crew.
“So proud of you @parineetichopra…I know how much you gave to Shaque,” he wrote, praising the team’s warmth and talent and wishing them well ahead of the Sept. 24 release.
Chopra responded by thanking him for his support, writing, “People need to know what a big support and protective husband you were during this time.”
“Shaque” follows a mother searching for her missing child nine years after the disappearance. The series was created by Rensil D’Silva and Siddharth P. Malhotra and directed by D’Silva.
Chopra said the project was unlike anything she had done before, describing its emotional core as deeply personal and centered on a mother’s determination to find her child.
Shah Rukh Khan Visits Lalbaugcha Raja With Gauri and Suhana
Mumbai — Shah Rukh Khan visited Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja on Monday with his wife, Gauri Khan, and daughter, Suhana Khan, to seek blessings from Lord Ganpati.
The actor wore blue traditional attire, while Gauri chose yellow and Suhana wore green. Their sons, Aryan and AbRam, were not seen with the family.
Khan is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film “King,” which is scheduled to hit theaters on Dec. 24, 2026.
Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Deepika Padukone, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, Abhay Verma and Arshad Warsi. It is produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.
During a recent #AskSRK session, Khan also spoke about his family’s Ganpati celebrations, saying Gauri performs the aarti and prayers before the family gathers for visarjan.
He also joked that one of the most “king-like” parts of his routine is having three cups of coffee in bed before speaking to anyone.
Kareena Kapoor Calls Amrita Arora a ‘Poet’ After Birthday Tribute
Mumbai — Kareena Kapoor Khan called her longtime friend Amrita Arora a “poet” after receiving a heartfelt birthday message from her.
Kareena celebrated her 46th birthday on Monday, prompting Arora to share throwback photos of the actress on Instagram along with a playful poem about their friendship.
“Day ho ya night, may we always hold on to each other tight,” Arora wrote, adding, “I wanted to write you a poem n so I did.”
Kareena responded in the comments, writing, “You are a poet bro,” and adding that she loved her.
Several other celebrities also marked the occasion. Kareena’s sister, Karisma Kapoor, shared a childhood photo of the two and called her the “best sister ever.”
Priyanka Chopra also posted a birthday message for Kareena, writing, “There will never be anyone like you.”
Ayushmann Khurrana Says ‘Yeh Prem Mol Liya’ Is a Film for ‘Bharat’
Mumbai — Ayushmann Khurrana has described Sooraj R. Barjatya’s upcoming musical family drama “Yeh Prem Mol Liya” as a film made for “Bharat,” praising its traditional appeal and music.
Speaking at the film’s music launch, Khurrana said composer Himesh Reshammiya understands both emotion and mass audiences.
“The title is so unique. This is not just a film for India, it is a film for Bharat,” Khurrana said, adding that the collaboration between Barjatya and Reshammiya would help the movie connect with a broad audience.
Co-star Sharvari also praised Reshammiya’s music, saying she had grown up listening to his melodies and that the film’s lyrics helped her connect more deeply with her character.
“Yeh Prem Mol Liya” reunites Reshammiya and Barjatya about a decade after “Prem Ratan Dhan Payo.” Reshammiya has reportedly composed seven songs for the film.
The movie stars Khurrana and Sharvari together for the first time. Directed by Barjatya and produced by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, it is scheduled to open in theaters on Nov. 27, 2026. (Source: IANS)
