Kiara welcomes Aditya Seal in ‘Indoo Ki Jawani’ journey

Mumbai– Actress Kiara Advani has welcomed “Student Of The Year 2” famed actor Aditya Seal in her upcoming film “Indoo Ki Jawani”, saying she is excited to have him on the “crazy journey”.

“Welcome on board Aditya Seal. ‘Indoo Ki Jawani’ family is excited to have you join the crazy journey!” Kiara tweeted.

Backed by Nikkhil Advani, along with Madhu Bhojwani, Niranjan Iyengar and Ryan Stephen, “Indoo Ki Jawani” marks the Hindi directorial debut of Bengali writer-filmmaker Abir Sengupta. Filming will begin in September this year.

After featuring in the blockbuster “Kabir Singh” earlier this year, Kiara is gearing up for several upcoming films such as “Good News”, “Guilty”, “Shershaah” and the “Kanchana” remake.

Priyanka Chopra wears sindoor at birthday party

Mumbai– Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s enjoying a smoke during her birthday celebrations on July 18 in Miami landed her in controversy, and the actress is now out to grab attention on social media with a snapshot that shows her wearing sindoor at the party.

The picture of Bollywood’s “Desi girl” at her birthday party, which surfaced online, shows her in a flaming red dress, standing in front of the birthday cake. The sindoor on her forehead is very much visible.

Priyanka was severely trolled on Sunday, soon after a picture on social media showed her enjoying a smoke on a yacht with her family.

Priyanka, who last year had shared an ad-campaign where she talked about how asthma did not stop her from achieving a career high, was seen smoking a cigarette in the photograph. Her mother Madhu Chopra and pop-singer husband Nick Jonas are seen enjoying a cigar on the yacht ride.

Back in Bollywood, Priyanka will next be seen in Shonali Bose’s “The Sky Is Pink” alongwith Farhan Akhtar and Zaira Wasim.

Humbled by the love people gave to Komolika: Urvashi

New Delhi– Actress Urvashi Dholakia shot to fame as the antagonist Komolika in the popular television show “Kasautii Zindagii Kay” almost a decade ago, and she says “it feels great” that people remember the character even after so many years.

“I played Komolika 10 years ago and people still talk about it. It feels great to see so much love from the audience has for that character even today. I feel humbled that I got an opportunity to play a character that has remained embedded in people’s hearts over the years,” Urvashi told IANS.

She pointed negative characters play a vital role in Indian daily soaps.

“Antagonists are as important as protagonists. Negative characters add drama to story, make it interesting. I am happy that the audience accepted me in negative shades.”

Urvashi is currently a part of the reality dance show, “Nach Baliye”.

Jacqueline launches her YouTube channel

Mumbai– Actress Jacqueline Fernandez has launched her YouTube channel, to take forward her bond with fans.

Jacqueline, who is quite active in the digital world, went live on her Instagram handle on Tuesday to launch the channel.

The first video that the actress uploaded gives glimpses of her childhood, her family, her first rampwalk, her first audition, and the moment she was crowned Miss Sri Lanka.

“Looking back, I think I always had a special relationship with the camera. I feel I have always been camera-friendly — a happy little kid. I have two people to thank for that — my dad and my mom,” she said in the video.

“As I grew up, so did my dreams and so did the size of the ramp… I was only 21 when I got a chance to be at Miss Universe. Although I didn’t win, this gave me enough confidence to chase my dreams, and that somehow got me to Mumbai. That is a story I will tell you later,” added Jacqueline.

In June, Alia Bhatt launched her digital channel, to open up about her life with fans. Priyanka Chopra And Shilpa Shetty are other Bollywood actresses who have their YouTube channels.

Shraddha twists ankle on ‘Street Dancer 3D’ set

Mumbai– Actress Shraddha Kapoor twisted her ankle on the set of her upcoming film, “Street Dancer 3D”.

Shraddha on Monday evening shared a video on Instagram stories that shows her on-set physiotherapist applying cold compressions to her ankle.

“Ankle twist care by our lovely onset physio… 1st my neck and shoulders, and now my ankle, and you are there to rescue. Thank you,” she captioned the video.

However, details about the injury were not shared by the actress.

“Street Dance 3D” is a dance drama directed by D’souza, who helmed “ABCD: Anybody Can Dance” and “ABCD 2”.

The film also features Varun Dhawan, Prabhudheva, Nora Fatehi and Aparshakti Khurana.

Hrithik’s mom shakes a leg to ‘Jugraafiya’

Mumbai– Hrithik Roshan has shared a video on Instagram, which captures his mother dancing to the song “Jugraafiya” from his latest release “Super 30”, after a gruelling fitness session.

Hrithik shared the video on Monday evening from the gym. In the clip, his mom Pinky Roshan is seen lifting weights. Instead of taking a break after she is done, she goes on to groove to the popular number playing in the background.

He captioned it: “Wait for it… #championoflife #supermom #loveyoumama. Only a mother can express joy like this.”

“Super 30” is based on the life of educationist Anand Kumar, who runs the Super 30 programme for IIT-JEE aspirants from poor families. The film has been declared tax-free in Bihar, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

Produced by Reliance Entertainment and Phantom Films, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur, Amit Sadh, and Nandish Sandhu in pivotal roles and is directed by Vikas Bahl.

Comedy is challenging: Rajesh Kumar

New Delhi– “Sarabhai vs Sarabhai” fame actor Rajesh Kumar, who is currently a part of the comedy show “Apna News Aayega”, says it is challenging to get the comic timing right.

“It is not easy to make people laugh. Our audience is so well read. For a comedian, it has become very important to be aware of everything. It looks like an easy job but actually it is not,” Rajesh told IANS.

According to him, experimentation plays a vital factor in an actor’s growth.

“With the roles I have played on screen over the years, I have realised that experimentation is very important, especially when you are doing comedy. You cannot repeat the same joke in front of your audience. They want new content every time. So, change and innovation act as the survival keys for an artiste,” he said.

Kirti Kulhari takes up kickboxing

Mumbai– Actress Kirti Kulhari has taken up kickboxing lessons for a yet-to-be-announced project.

Kirti started training, and has been following her kickboxing training regime rigorously.

“It is great to learn new things and thanks to my profession and the roles I play, I get to do so,” Kirti said.

“Kickboxing is not just great workout but it really also helps improve body-mind coordination and reflexes. Plus, it’s always good to know how to fight back. I am having a blast,” she added.

On the professional front, Kirti will be next seen in “Mission Mangal”, “Bard Of Blood” and second season of “Four More Shots Please!”.

Aishwarya back on Instagram post 2-month break

Mumbai– After joining Instagram in May last year, actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan had remained quite active on the social media platform for a while, sharing glimpses of her daughter Aaradhya’s birthay celebrations for fans to expressing love for her family. The actress, however, was missing in action from Instagram for about the past two months. despite the fact that she has over seven million followers.

On Tuesday, much to her fans’ delight, Aishwarya returned on Instagram, uploading photographs of her husband-actor Abhishek Bachchan that have him cheering his Kabbadi team, Jaipur Pink Panthers.

Mumbai– Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh took his fans and followers down memory lane by capturing his career through selfies, and asking them to pick their favourite one.

Ranveer took to Instagram stories to share throwback selfies from the sets of his earlier films, asking his followers: “Which dude’s selfie game is the strongest?”

He then went on to share images of the most popular characters he has played on the big screen — Alauddin Khilji in “Padmaavat”, Sangram Bhalerao in “Simmba”, Murad in “Gully Boy”, Peshwa Bajirao in “Bajirao Mastani”, Kabir Mehra in “Dil Dhadakne Do”, Gunda Bikram in “Gunday” and ‘saxy’ boy Ram in “Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela”.
